Mrs. Nelda Rawlinson's piano students presented a piano recital re-cital at her home last Wednesday Wednes-day and Thursday evenings. Trios, duets, and solos, classi- cal and novelty rounded out the program. On Wednesday evening the participants were David, Pamela Pam-ela and Eugene Lunceford, Mi-, chelle and Susan Howe, Mark Chdpman, David Thomson, Janet Jan-et Bott, Donna, Joan and Paul Warnick, Terry Yocom, Norma Batty, Kathleen and Celeste Fugal, Shauna Jo Shields and ReNae Rawlinson. On Thursday evening Barbara Davis, Larry Wilkinson, Linda Wells, Bryan Engh, Kathleen and Steven Christiansen, Scott Smith, Pauline and Jodene Hilton, Hil-ton, Val Warnick, Marie Redeye, Red-eye, DeAnne Hunter, Judy Mon-son Mon-son and Leona Gillman played. Light refreshments were served. ser-ved. Chosen Counselor Mr. and Mrs. Jtennis Tidwell receiver word of their son, Lyman Ly-man D. Tidwell on Monday, telling of his being chosen second sec-ond counselor in the Bangor, Maine, Branch Presidency. Mr. Tidwell and his family have lived in Maine for twenty years. He and Mrs Mrs. Tidwell Tid-well are the parents of three boys, Lyman, Jerry and James. They came to Utah about two years ago and went through the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Honored on Birthday Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Jense entertained last Sunday with a family party at their home in honor of the birthday anniversary anniver-sary of their son Gary. He is currently doing graduate work at BYU. He has fulfilled a mission to the Northwestern North-western States. Warnick, 1964 Utah Mother of the year from Pleasant Grove, was signally honored last Saturday at ah award ceremony held in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square. Also honored at the ceremonies ceremon-ies were the two 1964 Utah Mother of the Year alternates, Mrs. Isabelle B. Bangerter, and Mrs. Mary W. Jolley, Antimony, Garfield County. Special guests at the meeting were all past Utah State Mothers, Moth-ers, of the year and also this year's candidates in the same categories. Attending from Pleasant Grove, were Mrs. La-vina La-vina Fugal, 1955 American Mother of the Year and Mrs. Lucile H. Walker and Mrs. Nettie Net-tie Warnick, past Timpanogos First District Mothers of the Year. A citation was presented to Mrs. Warnick by Mrs. Albert H. Belliston, president Utah Moth-. ers Assn., American Mothers Committee, Inc.. Lambnt Toronto Utah Secretary Secre-tary of State, presented a statuette stat-uette to Utah's honored mother. Trade Tech Will Have Student Art Exhibit May 4 An art exhibit will be presented pre-sented by the Utah Trade Technical Tech-nical Institute of Provd, under thte direction of Soloman Aran-da, Aran-da, instructor of the commercial commer-cial art department. The exhibit will be shown in the school building of the Utah Trade Technical Institute from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will begin May 4 through May 22, inclusive. It will feature oil paintings representative of the studies in media for commercial commer-cial art purposes by the students stu-dents of the department. This is the first year of art training for many of the students. stu-dents.
