Black family were delighted by surprise visits from two of their children for Thanksgiving. Their daughter Colleen, who is employed in San Francisco, arrived home early Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing Day. She returned to her job in San Francisco Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Black and son Daron arrived home Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. They returned to their home in Reno, Nevada, Friday night. Tom is in the U. S. William Gillman Gill-man January 15, 1908 in the Sat Lake Temple. Mr. Gillman passed away February 14, 1953. Even though she is confined to a wheel chair, Mrs. Gillman exemplifies the courage and spirit of her pioneer ancestors by remaining independent and living alone. She keeps busy with house work, hand work, reading and keeping genealogical genealog-ical records. She was active' in the church for many years, serving- in the MIA, Sunday School, Primary Pri-mary and Relief Society. She is the mother of ten living liv-ing children: John, Glade and Dean, Orem; Mrs. Sterling (Larue) Burningham, Provo; Mrs. Frank (Elda) Walker, and Mrs. Eleroy H. (Beth) West, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Glen (Donna) Chilton, Lehi; Mrs. Clark (Rhea) Conder, Bishop California; Norman, Salt Lake City and Wendell, Fort Carson, Colorado. There are 31 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Return from Nevada Mr. and Mrs. Randall Ship-ley Ship-ley have returned from an enjoyable en-joyable trip to Sparks, Nevada, where they visited at the home of their daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Radmall and son Mike. MOUNTAIN STATES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEWS Some weeks ago, students at Lindon School sent their new school flag to Washington, D.C. A few days ago, they received it back, together with a certificate certi-ficate from the U.S. Capitol Architect that the flag had been flown over the Capitol Building. Build-ing. When it arrived, the students conducted a special flag ceremony cere-mony in honor of the late President John F. Kennedy. ESN The Fifth Graders at Lindon are preparing an "In Memor-ium Memor-ium Booklet" on the life and death of President Kennedy. When completed the book will be sent to the children of the Lindon School, West Germany. ESN The Yule spirit is reigning supreme at Grovecrest. A large Christmas tree stands in the Foyer and is being decorated decorat-ed by the students with handmade hand-made ornaments. The children are also making decorations to add cheer to their individual homes. ESN Ann Glauser and Carol Ann Mohler have returned from BYU to complete their teaching teach-ing training in the Kindergarten Kindergar-ten and First Grade at Grove-crest. Grove-crest. ESN Walt Disney's film, "White Wilderness" is being shown to the Grovecrest children this week. ESN The Third grade and Kindergarten Kin-dergarten students at Grovecrest Grove-crest are preparing Christmas programs to , entertain their parents on December 18. ESN Central School's Fourth and Fifth grade Chorus is practicing practic-ing overtime to prepare the annual an-nual Christmas program. Directors Di-rectors are faculty members Gary Madsen and Joyce Buchanan. Bu-chanan.
