Table Valentine decorations featured plastic cup and heart candy favors and pink cyclamen potted plants. , A dinner houor feature was the presenting of awards to William Hone, 88, the oldest man; Mrs. Minnie Oscarson, 89, the oldest woman and Mr. and Mrs. Hans Williamson, and Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Adams, each couple having been married for 59 years. Awards were also presented to all present, who were 80 years of age or older. The awards to each of the honored guests consisted of the potted cyclamen plants. During the presentations, Joan Brady and Jeanne Walker sang the old favorites, "Silver Haired Daddy of Mine," Wonderful Mother of Mine," and "I Love You Truly." They were accom- ' panied at the piano by Irene Jenkins. Returning to the- auditorium, the guests were greeted by Mr. Johnson, President Boyd L. Fu-gal Fu-gal and Mayor Paul T. Fordham. Mr. Johnson introduced a group of young artists' from the BYU Entertainment Bureau, who presented pre-sented one of the finest variety programs ever .enjoyed In this community. ' Such numbers as the "Red Red Robin," and "April Showers" by a girls singing and dancing trio; Tango, Charleston and Boogy Woogy by the dancing Zimmer-mans; Zimmer-mans; "Genealogy by pianist Jan Johnson; "Rail Road BUI" by a hillbilly trio and a trick cyclist and juggler, all drew rounds of applause. Dancing to the music of Milton Brown's orchestra end the "going home" serving of homemade ice cream and cake rounded out the days events.. - The Senior stay-at-homes and the bedridden were not forgotten. Axscording to Mrs. Ruth Cobbley, committee secretary -treasurer, 54 complete dinners were sent out to those unable to attend. In addition the committee took potted cyclamens to the Pleasant Grove area older folk who are living liv-ing in Utah Valley rest homes and hospitals. Cadmus Club Hears About Art at Meeting With Mrs. Ina Page Mrs. Ina Page was hostess to members of Cadmus Club at her home on Loader Drive. Mrs. Helen Wadley was co-hostess. Mrs. Bethel Allred presided as club president. Mrs. Willis Banks introduced her mother, Mrs. Monroe Mon-roe Clark of Provo, who is one of Utah's outstanding artists. Mrs. Clark displayed a collection of her pictures and related the wonderful wonder-ful experiences she has had while touring Europe and visiting the great art galleries there. Bridal Shower Held Monday Evening For Maureen Nielsen A bridal shower was hold for Miss Maureen Nielsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Nielsen, at the home of Mrs. Maymett Johnson on the evening of Fb. 11. Mrs. Florence GUlman and Mrs. Virginia Carlson served with Mrs. v Johnson as hostesses. The home decorations and refreshments re-freshments carried a Valentine theme. Bridal and table games were played. There was a wishing tree in red and white with a wish in the shape of a heart from everyone every-one attending.
