How the ladits can make money at such a price is a mystery to the uninitiated, An au-acdote au-acdote of the late Mr. Beecher may explain the problem: He concluded at one time to add a little pleasure and profit to his life by raising some pigs for the market. He paid seven dollars for pigs, and altogether he fed them eleven dollars worth of corn. He sold.the pigs for ten dollars, and explained that he made money on the porkers, but lost on the corn.
