On Wednesday, Nov. 26, the Springville High School Boys' Basketball Team traveled to UVU's McKay Event Center to play the number one ranked team in the state, Lone Peak. It was a hard fought game between the two teams as the game eventually even-tually went into overtime. The Red Devils had three players in double figures, including the team's leadr ing scorer for the game, Dan Foster, who cashed in 19 points. Sam Schreiner added 15 points, and Alex Mortens-en Mortens-en had 11 of his own. The team showed some great potential in the game, and look to do some damage dam-age throughout the rest of the season. The next Red Devil home game is Friday, Dec. 12, where they will face Cedar High School at 7 p.m. Veterans Memorial Alumni BaslietkR Tournament Come and join everyone at Springville High School on Dec. 26 and 27 for the 1st Annual Springville High School Veterans Memorial Me-morial Basketball Tournament Tourna-ment hosted by the SHS Entrepreneurship Class. All former Springville High graduates are invited to play in this double elimination elimi-nation tournament. : Family and friends are welcome as spectators to come join in the fun! This is a great opportunity to reunite with your old classmates class-mates for the holidays. The proceeds from this tournament will be donated do-nated to the Veterans Day Memorial that will be appearing ap-pearing in Springville High School's courtyard. The monument will recognize alumni who have been killed in the line of duty. Former graduate and current football Coach, Scott Mitchell, will also be in attendance. HOSA Sponsored Blood Drive at Springville High School last Tuesday, Dec. 2, the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA Club) sponsored a blood drive at Springville High. Students who participated had to be. 17 years old and have parent permission. Over 77 students, faculty, and staff at SHS gave blood. HOSA is a student organization whose mission is to promote career opportunities in health care and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people.
