She passed away peacefully at her home in Springville on July 23, 2008. She grew up in Springville where she graduated from Springville High School and also attended Brigham Young University. She married her high school sweetheart, Earl S. Child, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Tem-ple on March 5, 1941. They are the parents of four children. chil-dren. She was actively involved in-volved in many activities in the LDS Church. She served in all auxiliaries on the ward and stake levels. She was involved in many civic and cultural organizations. organiza-tions. She belonged to the Cultural Arts Club throughout through-out her married life. She represented Springville as the Federated Women's Clubs' "My Fair Lady." She was on the charter committee commit-tee to form the Festival of Trees. Lois and Earl were the grand marshals of the annual Art City Days Parade Pa-rade (Mom loved parades). Lois was known for her exquisite handwork and sewing. She made beautiful clothes for herself and family. fam-ily. Her handwork pieces are family heirlooms. All 18 grandchildren have a handmade quilt made for their high school graduation. gradu-ation. She loved reading, gardening, homemaking, golfing and traveling. She actively supported her husband in all his endeavors, en-deavors, whether civic, church or business. She was the woman behind the man, yet she was always a lady. She is survived by her Angela Haskell Litteler Angela Haskell Litteler, passed away July 12, 2008. She was born June 19, 1965 in Payson, Utah, to Eldon Haskell of Springville and Jolene Terry of Pay soa She lived in Payson most of her childhood and graduated from Payson High School where she enjoyed being a cheerleader. Anglea enjoyed giving flower arrangements to those she loved Gardening was one of her special gifts. She married Albert Voksin-ick, Voksin-ick, and they had two sons, Gherhart and Louis. They were later divorced She married mar-ried Jim Litteler on May 9, 2004. They lived in Alabama at the time of her passing. Survivors include her husband, hus-band, Jim; sons, Gherhert and Louis Voksinick; mother, Jolene ( Monty) Terry, Pay-son; Pay-son; father, Eldon (Leona) Haskell, Springville; five brothers and four sisters: Cindy (Larry) Losee, Salem; Lois Johnson Child SN x " . - v - Lois Johnson Child husband of 67 years, Earl S. Child of Springville; a daughter, Erlene (Lawrence) (Law-rence) Barney of Salt Lake City; son, Richard J. (Rebecca) (Re-becca) Child of Springville; daughter, Linda (Zane) Lubin of Scottsdale, AZ; daughter, Christine (Rod) Oldroyd of Springville; 18 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Edwin (Beth) Johnson of Springville; sister, Helen J. Moon of Provo; and several sever-al nieces and nephews. The family would like to give heartfelt gratitude to Hospice for Utah, especially espe-cially Karen and Maryan, and care giver Debbie So-rensen So-rensen of Aspen. Funeral services were held Monday, July 28, in Springville. Interment was in the Springville Evergreen Ev-ergreen Cemetery. A memorial service was he1dJury29inPaysnn Josephine Melvina GMden Johnson Josephine Melvina Giv-iden Giv-iden Johnson, 94, died Tuesday, Tues-day, July 22, 2008 in Orem, Utah. She was born on July 12, 1914 to Joseph Gividen and Mary Alice Stone Gividen Giv-iden in Mapleton, Utah. She married Wilford Martin Pulley July 9, 1930. They had a daughter, Janis Mary. Wilford died April 21, 1946. She then married Parley Boyd Johnson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple January 26, 1949. Together they had a daughter, Nancy, Nan-cy, and a son, Parley William. Wil-liam. Parley Boyd died December De-cember 19, 1993. Melvina worked on her parents' fruit farm, in a mercantile store, and at the JC Penny Company in Springville. She served as a Sunday School Coordinator, Coordina-tor, Relief Society Counselor Counsel-or and Secretary, visiting teacher and Relief Society Teacher. She enjoyed gardening, gar-dening, canning, quilting and dancing. Josephine Melvina Gividen . Johnson Surviving are her children, chil-dren, Janis Mary Angus, Nancy (Roger) Fowles, and Parley William (Tracy); (Tra-cy); 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition one foster grandchild and two foster great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husbands, son-in-law Henry 0. Angus, An-gus, parents, and siblings, James Vance Gividen and Lila Lucas; and great-great grandson, Garrett. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 29, in Mapleton. Interment was in the Springville Evergreen Ever-green Cemetery.
