Show Ihursday, March 2, 2006 SPRINGVILLE HERALD Open Houses planned at Reagan Academy Charter School The Regan Academy Charter Char-ter School in Springville is holding two open houses, on Thursday, Mar. 9, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and on Saturday, Satur-day, Mar. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon. The school is for kindergarten through eighth grade. John Broberg, director of the Utah State Charter Schools, will speak on Thursday Thurs-day at 7 p.m. on "Why Charter Char-ter Schools?" After his 15-minute 15-minute talk, board members will outline the school's purpose pur-pose and curriculum. Attendees Atten-dees will be invited to walk through the school and see the facilities. Information will be available,, avail-able,, on grade-by-grade specifics of the Reagan curriculum cur-riculum and program including includ-ing the Core Knowledge Curriculum, Cur-riculum, leveled-learning, Friday electives, extra-curricular clubs, school uniforms uni-forms and more. "We are anxious to show off our new facilities arid academic program. University Avenue, Av-enue, Provo, and March 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Uinta Uin-ta National Forest Supervisor's Supervi-sor's Office, 88 W. 100 North, Provo. The Uinta National Forest, For-est, in cooperation with the Bureau of Land Management Manage-ment and the State of Utah, is preparing an Environmental Environ-mental Impact Statement (EIS) that would determine under what National Forest System Lands would be available to oil and gas leasing and under what conditions and stipulations leases would be issued. The EIS would analyze all lands with a federally-owned leasable mineral estate within the Uinta National Forest.
