Show 12 SPRINGVILLE HERALD Thursday, September 15, 2005 fflWi SHS has a brand new library Shelby Smith SHS STAFF WRITER After three months of labor, la-bor, the renovations to Springville High's library are finally finished. Construction Con-struction workers invaded the halls of SHS around the end of May last year. The renovations were finally done on August fifth. Amongst the many new attractions at-tractions to the library this year are a computer lab with 37 new computers, new bookshelves, a group study room with two computers, and a new office for Mrs. Rabner. The week before school nine students helped Mrs. Rabner unload every book and place every book in the right sequence on all of the new shelves. The unloading took a total of 24 hours, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for three days, a grueling process to say the least. Mrs. Rabner shared her enthusiasm about the new library li-brary at SHS, "I am really excited about the research lab. The lab makes it so much easier for all of the English and history classes to do their online research. I am also so happy about all the extra space for new books. We have space for 100 new magazines. Overall, I just love the welcoming feeling the new space has." Mrs. Hammond, an English Eng-lish teacher at Springville High, said," The new library is warm and welcoming. Mrs. Rabner has so much knowledge about libraries and research. Our library at Springville High School is what a high school library should be." The new library is a vast improvement at SHS. Mrs. Rabner hopes to share her love for reading and research re-search with all the students of Springville High. This new renovation will show the students how enjoyable a great library can be. In the future, Mrs. Rabner hopes to buy new tables and chairs, and also some new comfortable comfort-able chairs to cluster around the magazines and fiction sections. rS V j. - - , - '--j TV- .
