We might take this for granted, but the person who makes this all possible is Mrs. Rabner, the school librarian. li-brarian. Mrs. Rabner started her education in her hometown of Ogden, Utah, and spent her high school years enjoying enjoy-ing the many extra-curricular activities offered in her school such as debate. She then went on to finish her schooling at Brigham Young University. Mrs. Rabner has been teaching for many years, starting as a high school history his-tory teacher, and she has spent a long time as a librarian. librari-an. Her favorite job, however, howev-er, was when she had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity opportuni-ty to be a historian at the Gettysburg Get-tysburg Military Park. When asked what her favorite fa-vorite part of being a teacher was, she promptly replied that it was when the "light goes on" in a kid's mind, and they finally understand what you have been trying to teach them. She enjoys being able to share her own knowledge knowl-edge and experiences with students. Mrs. Rabner especially loves being a high school librarian li-brarian because she can introduce in-troduce the students to new authors and books, and help those kids who are non readers read-ers develop a passion for literature. lit-erature. She also commented on the upcoming renovations planned for the library, and said that the students at Springville High will finally have the resources they need to help them with their classes, class-es, and they will also have a greater selection of books to help them learn. Mrs. Rabner hopes that the teenagers she teaches will make the most of their education and learn how to balance school work and fun. High school is an opportunity to learn valuable life skills, and she encourages encour-ages students to take learning learn-ing seriously. All the staff and students who have had the opportunity opportuni-ty to work with Mrs. Rabner know that she is not only an accomplished teacher, but also a caring person. She is always there to follow through with her commitments, commit-ments, and all those who know her understand that she is there for the long haul. Not only is Mrs. R abner an accomplished teacher, but she is also an amazing mentor to all those whose lives she has impacted for the better.
