To culminate their study of Utah State History, the students shared their learning as they sang songs and told the stories of Utah's past. Each letter of the alphabet represented represent-ed a significant person, place or event in Utah, and was illustrated through an accompanying slide show. An afternoon program was performed for students and parents, and an additional evening performance was offered for parents and other family members and friends. All in attendance were impressed by the students' stu-dents' understanding of Utah history and the quality of the students' performance, shown above are the fourth grade students singing the ABC's of Utah. On April 29th you can go to school and sign up your son or daughter. At Art City Elementary we listened to a presentation on Friday, Apr. 8. After listening I interviewed some students and this is what they said. Seth Chipman says that he looks forward to playing oh the slippery slide and the three mile hike to a pond. He wants to swim in it. Eric Mageno is looking forward to playing "Capture the Flag" at night. Being in nature, the three mile hike and the slippery slide are some of the things Samantha Weeks is looking forward to. By Trevor Allan, fifth grader, Art City Elementary. Art City Principal Dave Rowe thought he would play an April Fools Joke on Julie Warren Principal of Mapleton School. With the help of a friend he brought a nice, large Bald python to Mapleton and sat it on Mrs. Warren's War-ren's chair for a joke. The joke was on everyone else because we didn't know that Mrs. Warren is quite the snake lover! This picture tells all, and Mrs. Snyder's first graders were especially impressed. Mrs. Snyder was not when Mrs. Warren chased her down the hall while she tried to take a picture. Mrs. Snyder is not a snake lover! But now the joke is on Mrs. Warren! Keep Smilin' from all those who love you at Mapleton School! ; Always remember others may hate you but those who hate you don't win unless ybu hate them. And then you destroy yourself. - Richard Milhous Nixon Our character is an omen of our destiny and the more integrity we nave and keep, the simpler and nobler that destiny is likely to be. - George Santayana m "jfflwWWW -:'. ::-:-,L-- -" JSft; mm STUDENTS GRADES 9-11 Register Now!
