Woodrow (Woody) Hathcd Lewis Woodrow Hatfield (Woody) was born November Novem-ber 4, 1912 in Mapleton, Utah the youngest son of Joseph and Sarah Lewis Hatfield. He passed away peacefully on December 23, 2004 at his home in Springville. Woodv lived on the farm in Mapleton for the early part of his life. After his father fa-ther died, he with his mother and sisters, moved to Springville. He graduated from Springville High School in 1930. He married Raynor Park on August 7, 1935. Their marriage was later solemnized sol-emnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She passed away. June 30, 2001 after 66 wonderful won-derful years together. Dad's first love was farming farm-ing but his paying job was an iron-worker at Ironton until they shut down, and then he retiried at age 65 from Geneva Gene-va Steel. He was an avid reader and was well versed in many subjects. His hobbies hob-bies were hunting and fishing. fish-ing. He took pride in all that he did whether it was farming, farm-ing, building or fixing up his home, and caring for his many animals. Mom and dad belonged to the Dancing Friends Club and to a group that vacationed vaca-tioned in their motor homes and campers. He has given his children a love of music, as we all remember re-member the long car rides and listening to his beautiful tenor voice. He enjoyed attending at-tending church and the temple, tem-ple, going for car rides in the mountains and watching his Naomi S. Gardner Naomi Sumsion Gardner, 87, passed away on December Decem-ber 25, 2004. She was born in Springville, Utah on January 29, 1917 to James Spender and Belva Sumsion. She was raised in Springville and attended at-tended local schools. S he graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS degree. In 1939 she began teaching in Neola where she met her future husband, Darol Lester Gardner. Gard-ner. They married on May 30, 1941. In 1959, her family moved to Gilroy, California where she taught for 18 years until she retired in 1977. Naomi and Darol moved to Springville in 1983. They enjoyed en-joyed traveling and visited many temples. She served faithfully in many callings in the LDS Church. She is survived by two L. Woodrow (Woody) Hatfield grandchildren play sports. Woody was able to spend his remaining days in the family home thanks to the loving care of his daughter, Laurie Crandall, and her family. The family would also like to thank Maureen Mangum for the many years of loving kindness and service. ser-vice. Of course, being the youngest son and living to age 92, he was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings. His brothers were Clarence, Douglas, George, Vern, Elmer and Robert. His sisters were Stella Stel-la Sabin, Mable Hiatt and Bessie Hatfield. He was also preceded in death by a son, David J. Hatfield. Hat-field. Woody is survived by his children: Marjorie (Dix) Davis. Lassiter Ralph Donald Lassiter passed away the morning of Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004 at home surrounded by his family. fam-ily. He was born January 4, 1940 to Ralph Donald Lassiter Las-siter and Venla Sorenson in Bancroft, Idaho. Ralph Is survived by his six wonderful children: Ben (Jennifer) Lassiter of Saratoga Sarato-ga Springs, Lori (Paul) Helton Hel-ton of Springville, Luke (Tiffany) Lassiter of Springville, Jill (Bret) Erick-son Erick-son of Mapleton, Emily (Matthew) Baker of Provo, and Amy Lassiter of Springville. He is also survived sur-vived by liis ex-wifes: Judy Lay (of 27 years) of Mona, and Janet Lassiter (of five years) of Orem). Ralph has two sisters of Boise, Idaho: Louise Mencer and Sherry Lloyd; and three brothers: Sonny Shreve, Orie Shreve and Gerald Dean Greer. He is also survived by his four grandchildren: Kelsey and Andrew (Jimmy) Lassiter, Hailey Helton and Cody Er-ickson. Er-ickson. Ralph was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Donald Lassiter; step-father, Henry Shreve; and mother, Venla Sorenson Shreve. , Ralph served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Cook Islands for almost three years. He married Judy in 1970 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. He graduated from Brigham Young University in accounting and worked for the "Y" for 31 years. He has always been an ex-Hospice ex-Hospice for Utah, for their support and care. Seniors interested can determine which of these plans is best for them by using the step-by-step evaluation process in the Medicare website wwwjnedicare.gov.
