She will speak in church on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004 at 9 a.m. in the Hobble Creek 13th Ward, 650 E. 500 South, Springville. She will enter the MTC on Oct 13. Scout leadership banquet planned The Hobble Creek District of the Boy Scouts of America Ameri-ca will conduct its Adult Leader Recognition Banquet on Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m. The banquet will be held in the Springville LDS Stake Center (located by the Springville Junior High School). All Scouters and their spouse are invited to attend at-tend the banquet. Roundtable sessions will begin at 6:45 p.m. with the banquet and awards following follow-ing at 7:30 p.m. The next regular, second-Saturday-of-the-month meeting meet-ing of the Utah Valley PAF (Personal Ancestral File) Users Group will be on Saturday, Satur-day, Oct. 9 from, 9 a.m. until noon in the LDS "Red" Chapel at 4000 North Timpview Drive Dri-ve (650 East) in Provo. The main presentation will be by three Brigham Young University computer science students discussing programs they are writing to help with family history. Jeremy Robertson will talk about the non-profit Digital Roots Company and the Relationship Rela-tionship Finder that has been set up and the program that people can use. Joseph Cooper Coop-er will talk about some of the features of the new merge program he is working on. Joshua Jenny will talk about the OnePageGenealogy Program Pro-gram that is available to print your pedigree chart in large (wall-size) formats with various vari-ous options. These students are working work-ing under the direction of Professors Pro-fessors William A. Barrett and Thomas W. Sederberg of the BYU Computer Science Department and are designing design-ing programs according to people's family history wants andneeds. Following the main presentation presen-tation there will be several classes with something for everyone and at all levels of family history and computing. comput-ing. All meetings of the Users Group are open to the public whether members of the Group or not. The Users Group has the goal of helping individuals use technology to further their family history and there are usually 125 tol50 attending the monthly meetings. He will speak in church on Sunday, Sun-day, Oct 10, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Kolob Stake Center, 1230 S. 500 East Springville. Jerah Patterson, daughter of Lynn and Paulette Patterson, has been called to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Brazil Porto Alegre North Mission. She will report re-port to the MTC in Brazil on Oct. 12, 2004. Jon Ogden, son of Greg and Carol Ogden of Springville, has returned re-turned home after serving a mission mis-sion for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ventura, Calif. He will speak in church on Sunday. Oct. 10, 2004 at 9 a.m. in the Hobble Creek 9th Ward. Presbyterian services On Sunday, October 10, Rev. Janet Riley will be preaching at the Springville Community Presbyterian Church. Her sermon title is "Defecting in PJace," with scripture from Exodus 15-22.
