Show Thursday, October 7, 2004 - SPRINGVILLE HERALD 4 Hales celebrate 50 years The children of Blaine and LaVonne Hales are happy to announce the 50th wedding anniversary of their parents. Blaine was in the army, stationed in Yakima, Wash., when he met LaVonne who was attending nurses training train-ing at St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. They were married in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on Oct. 1, 1954. They were later sealed in the Lost Angles LDS Temple. They are the parents of six children, 18 grandchildren and one great-grandson and their posterity continues to increase. Blaine lovingly supported the family through the years by having his own business and through industry, hard work and example. LaVonne has had the same full-time job-Mom-for almost five decades. State, Provo 373-3740 Sumsion family reunion planned One hundred and fifty two years ago this month, Daniel and Eleanor Sumsion arrived in Springville via ox team and wagon with their two sons William and George. The day was Oct. 16, 1852. Their third son, James Henry, was born in Springville. Descendants now number in the hundreds to the seventh and eighth generations.
