Kent Hansen of the Utah Travel Council will talk about bow to use a day, a weekend or an extended vacation to see many varied and little-known attractions right here in Utah. With the high cost of fuel and the security concerns which worry us all, a vacation vaca-tion close to home sounds like a great idea. Kent Hansen has more than 30 years of public relations rela-tions experience. He served the state for nearly five years as Director of Community Relations for UDOT, heading several controversial public relations efforts including the massive 1-15 reconstruction. The Hafen-Dallin Guild, on behalf of the Springville Museum of Art, announces "The Chairs of Springville," this year's exciting, fund-raising event. The guild is looking for talented and creative people, artists or non-artists, to take a chair of any kind and create a beautiful, stunning, curious, curi-ous, cute andor distinctive work of art. Participants will have approximately five months to take any kind of chair and work their own magic on it, creating a unique piece. The guild anticipates great enthusiasm for this fun evening and hope it will grow into a Springville tradition. Funds raised will be used to help with the many furnishings that need to be purchased for the new wing at the museum.
