Hatch (R-Utah) to provide tax relief for military and reservist families. "Men and women who bravely brave-ly serve in our nation's armed forces make great sacrifices," Hatch said. "This bill would ease some of the financial strain and unfair tax burdens put on too many of our soldiers and their families." The legislation, titled "Armed Forces Tax Fairness Act of 20-02," 20-02," combines seven tax provisions provi-sions crafted to help the tax burden and correct tax inequities for those serving in the armed services, including the National Guard and Reserves. Specifically, the Armed Forces Tax Fairness Act of 2002 would: - Make all death gratuity benefits tax exempt.
