I Hailey Kathryn Hamilton, daughter of Ryan and Becky Hamilton of Springville, celebrated cele-brated her first birthday May 18, 2001. Her grandparents are Stuart and Judy Hamilton of Mapleton and John and Katie Callister of Paysoa. Her great-grandmothers great-grandmothers are Marie Hamilton, Hamil-ton, Alice Callister and Harriett Strong, all of Springville; she has a sister, Miekelle, and a brother, Colton. Jesse and Alona Huffaker are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Wendy Marie, to Chais Shih-Kuo, son of Guy and Teresa Chang, all of Springville, Utah. The couple plans to be married on Saturday, May 26, 2001, in the Mount Timpanogos LDS Temple. A garden reception wil be held that evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Huffakers, 1195 S. 700 East, Springville. Wendy and Chais both graduated from Springville High School. Wendy also graduated from Bon-Losee Beauty School. Chais served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ in Sendai, Japan. He then went to Ricks College and the University of Utah. The couple will live in Salt Lake City. Jill Hughes, James Holiday reception Jun. 2 William E. and Jeriann Hughes of Springville, Spring-ville, Utah, are pleased to announce the engagement engage-ment and marriage of their daughter, Jill, to James Robert Holiday, son of James and Joan Holiday of Santa Monica, California. Jill is a graduate of Springville High School and has served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Birmingham, England. Eng-land. James is a graduate of a West Los Angeles high school and is currently attending CalPoly. His major is accounting, James also served a mission in Birmingham, England. Jill and James have chosen May 26, 2001, to be sealed in the San Diego LDS Temple. A reception will follow that evening in La Canada, California. A reception is also planned at the home of the bride, 878 E. 400 North, Springville, on Saturday, June 2, from 7-9 p.m. Friends are welcome.
