The production, a courtroom suspense thriller full of intrigue and mystery, comes from the best-selling author of all time (only the Bible can boast higher sales figures). Veteran director and actor David Hanson is making his directing debut at SCERA. He received the invitation after SCERA President Norm Nielsen saw a show he did at the Hale Center Theatre and liked his style. According to Hanson, this is a first-rate drama with an edge-of-your-seat script from England's self proclaimed "Duchess of Death "--and a powerful Christie triple twist at the end. "A surefire sure-fire jaw-dropper," is how Hanson describes the final scenes. The drama will open May 25 at 8 p.m. at the SCERA Shell, 699 S. State, Orem, and continue through June 4. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 3-11. But though SCERA insiders know the ending, they're asking patrons to keep it a secret. Set in 1950s London (where judges and barristers still wear the wigs and robes of the British court), "Witness for the Prosecution" Prosecu-tion" is the story of a naive young man who is accused of murder and is devastated when his alibihis wife- turns on him by vocally stabbing him in the back. The murder victim is an elderly woman and the evidence surrounding her death, though circumstantial, points to the young man's guilt. Particularly damaging is the revelation that he is the sole beneficiary of her will. fOtopcEtn?) f vV That means that you cjfn call on me to fill your insurance1 needs with the coverage you want and at the lowest possible cost.
