Chris and Karen Sorensen of Springville, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Nancy, to Jake Francom, son of Kim and Debbie Francom of Mapleton and Shari Francom and Ron Richmond of Mesquite, Nevada. Neva-da. The couple plans to be married in the Manti LDS Temple on Saturday, March 10, 2001. A reception will be held in their honor that evening from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Hunter Valley LDS Church. 1050 S. 1700 East, in Springville. Nancy graduated from Springville High and LDS Seminary in 2000. She is now working full time at First Colony Mortgage. Jake graduated from Springville High School and LDS Seminary in 1997. He served an LDS mission in Dallas, Texas. Jake is currently attending attend-ing Utah Valley State College and working at First Colony Mortgage. The couple will make their home in Springville. Jocelyn Waddoups, Michael Blakey temple wedding Jocelyn Waddoups, daughter of Royal and Gloria Waddoups of Springville, Utah, is engaged to be married to Michael Blakey, son of Steve and Beth Blakey also of Springville. The couple have chosen to be married on Saturday, March 10, 2001, in the Mt. Timpanogos LDS Temple. A reception will be held for the newlyweds that evening in the Springville Kolob Stake Center, Cen-ter, 1230 S. 500 East, Springville. An open house will be held on March 17 at the Moore Stake Center in Moore, Idaho. The bride-to-be graduated from Springville High School and is completing her second year at Utah State University. She is the granddaughter of Ruth Waddoups of Moore, Idaho. The prospective groom also graduated from SHS. He served an LDS mission in Manaus, , y Brazil and is currently employed in Logan. He is : - the grandson of Merwin and Jean Blakey of The Colonies, Texas, and Eva Dean Liston of Escalan-te, Escalan-te, Utah. The couple will make their home in Logan where they will continue their education at US.U. Mindy Robinson, Sergio Gomez wedding bells Hayden Anthony Robinson is pleased to announce the engagement of his mother, Mindy Pauline Robinson, to Sergio Diaz Gomez. The couple plans to be married on Saturday, March 17, 2001. Parents of the bride are Allan D. and Shirley Frandsen of Roosevelt, ytah. Parents of the ;groom are Calvin and Laura Nell Jolley, Springville, Utah. v Receptions will be held in their honor Friday, Fri-day, March 9, from 7-9 p.m. at the Springville Art Museum and Saturday, March 10, in Roosevelt Roose-velt from 7-9 p.m. at the Senior Center. The bride-elect graduated from Union High School in Roosevelt, was a student body officer, played volleyball and basketball and sang in a group called Stage Light. She received a scholarship scholar-ship in music to Utah Valley State College and sang two years in the Encore Chorus. She is a medical receptionist at the Health and Wellness Clinic in Salt Lake City. ' Jason graduated from Springville High School, playing soccer and on a variety of basketball basket-ball teams. He served an LDS mission in Portland, Port-land, Oregon. Returning to UVSC, he received an 'Associates Degree in art. The couple will make their home in Salt Lake City. r E j- '( s K Weiaht program An upcoming eight-week course at UVRMC has been designed to offer adults, teens and kids a long-term solution to weight loss. The class meets once a week and is $75 which includes percent body fat testing at the beginning and end of the program. An additional $24 can be earned back through exercise, keeping food intake records and class attendance. atten-dance. Adult classes begin March 13 and will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays in the Northwest Plaza on the second floor in the classroom 1 . . A separate nine-week program for kids and teens called. "Nutrition "Nutri-tion and Exercise with Success" is alsc available. These classes help youngsters focus on establishing estab-lishing sound nutritional eating habits, exercise positive family interaction. Theie classes are $60. This fee covers the expenses of materials and also class fees for both parents and their child.
