The couple plans to be married Friday, September 19, in the Manti LDS Temple. A reception will be held at the home of the bride's parents, 686 E. Maple Street, Mapleton. The bride-to-be graduated from Springville High School and will be graduating from the University of Utah in December. She served an LDS mission in Barcelona, Spain. The prospective groom graduated from Cottonwood High School, serving as Student Body President his senior year. He served an LDS mission in Cabanatuan, Philippines. He is currently current-ly a student at the University of Utah majoring in secondary education. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Clair Bowen and Mrs. Geri Perkins of Springville. His great-grandmother is Mrs. Ruth Williams of Dragerton, Utah. V Abby Pfeifer - Tyler Perkins Utah Valley Symphony season The Utah Valley Symphony will present five concerts-each performed two nights in t he Provo Tabernacle-during its 1997-98 season. Season tickets are on sale now. Clyn D. Barrus is the symphony's sym-phony's conductor and musical director. Bryce Rytting and K. Newell Dayley will be guest conductors for the October and December concerts. The series will open October 8 and 9 with violinist Donna Fairbanks and cellist Nicole Jackson performing Brahms' Double Concerto in A Minor. Dvorak's "Slavonic Dances" and Stravinsky's "Firebird Suite" will complete the program. . The Christmas Concert will feature Brigham Young Univer sity's Living Legend, formerly known as the Lamanite Generation, Genera-tion, directed by Janielle Chris-tensen. Chris-tensen. Grofe's "Grand Canyon Suite" will be performed in addition addi-tion to the Christmas music. Outstanding young musicians selected in fall auditions will be spotlighted in the annual Young Artists Concert January 21 and 22. The spring concert March 18 and 19 will feature Igor and Vesna Gruppman, the husband-and-wife violinviola duo The season finale April 22 and 23 will offer operetta music from Europe and America, with tenor Lawrence Vincent. He is new to the voice faculty at BYU, directing lyric theater in the music department.
