But no home is entirely free of hazards, and winter brings with it a unique set of perils. "Many of winter's household dangers are hidden," reminds William Griswold, vice president of GEICO's Property Insurance Center. "But don't allow out of sight to mean out of mind. Take care of cold weather household chores now to prevent costly, possibly dangerous consequences later." To protect your family and your home, Griswold offers the following advice. Have your furnace professionally profession-ally cleaned and checked for defects annually. A faulty furnace could release odorless but deadly carbon monoxide fumes into your home. Assure your fireplace is safe for use by having the chimney professionally cleaned and inspected in-spected for cracks that could allow flames to spread and ignite flammable house structures. Insulate pipes in basement crawl spaces and other unheated areas of your home to prevent freezing and bursting. Pipes Auction L INFORMATION ON SECRET SE-CRET Utah auctions.
