He belongs to Troop 969 in the Mapleton 9th Ward. For his eagle project he organized and constructed a section of trail along the Great Western Trail in Maple Canyon. He is the grandson grand-son of EvaDean Listen and Fay L. Alvey and the great-grandson of Lenora Griffin, all of Escalante, Utah. I 13 v l) I 1' , . I : ..... Adam Zierenberg, son of Terry and Kaylene Zierenberg, received his Eagle Scout Award in the Mapleton 9th Ward. He is active in his Explorer post and is secretary secre-tary of his priest's quorum. He is an honor student at Springville High where he will be a senior and is a member of the cross country team. He enjoys soccer, tennis, camping, fishing, hunting and other outdoor sports. Its ' J I ' r , 1 , . , f H 1 ff , I 1 Daniel M. Carter, age 15, son of Linwood and Chris Carter of Springville, received his Eagle Scout Award on April 13, 1991. He is a member of the Varsity Scout Team 3920 in the Hobble-creek Hobble-creek 20th LDS Ward. For his eagle project Daniel painted the football bleachers at Springville High School. Members of his ; team helped him with the project -and he thanks all those who did. Ryan Fair, son of Gary and Dixie Fair of Mapleton, recevied his Eagle Scout Award on June 2, 1991. For his eagle project Ryan worked with the Spanish Fork Ranger District and made plans for trail improvements in Maple Canyon. He organized the labor necessary to do excavation and alignment for 14 mile of the Great Western Trail in the canyon. can-yon. He is a member of Troop 130 and has served as troop historian, histo-rian, librarian and scribe. He will attend Timberline this summer. His scoutmasters are John Cran-dall Cran-dall and Mark Allen. He is an avid swimmer and graduated from Springville High in May. He is working for the Forest Service on the initial attack at-tack fire team. He will attend Utah State University majoring in Fisheries and Wildlife. Justin Lowell Alvey, son of Jim and Lola Alvey of Mapleton, received re-ceived his Eagle Scout Award on June 9, 1991. He belongs to Troop 969 in the Mapleton 9th Ward. For his eagle project Justin organized orga-nized his troop and, built a bridge out of cedar timbers to cross the creek along the Great Western Trail in Maple Canyoa He is the grandson of EvaDean Listen and Fay L. Alvey and the great-grandson of Lenora Griffin, all of Escalante, Es-calante, Utah. Three participate in NY pageant Pine seeds may blow as far as 300 fect from the parent tree. Hedwig Huelsenbeck, Diane Erickson and Marianne Harris, all of Springville, are among the 600 cast and crew of the 1991 Hill Cumorah Pageant They were chosen from more than 3,000 applicants. Participants pay their own living a;.l davel expenses in order to donate their time and talent to the pageant. HealthTrust, Inc., the hospital company and parent company of Mt. View Hospital in Payson announced on June 17, 1991 that it had signed a definitive agreement agree-ment to acquire from Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) all the HealthTrust preferred stock and warrants held by HCA. The purchase price will be $600 million in cash plus HCA will retain ownership of approximately 10 of HeathTruSt s common stock. It is currently anticipated that financing for the transaction will be obtained principally from the proceeds of an initial public offering offer-ing of Health Trust's common stock. The offering will be made and details provided only by means of a prospectus which will be available when a registration statement of the offering is filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. HealthTrust is one of the largest larg-est employee owned companies in the United States with 85 hospitals hospi-tals located in 21 states with 11,654 licensed beds. Mt. View Hospital, a 118 acute care hospital hospi-tal located in Payson is one of those hospitals. "I personally feel that this is a very positive move for our company and am willing to answer any questions the employees em-ployees or public may have concerning con-cerning the purchase of preferred stock and warrants," said Stephen Walston, Administrator. Ml View Hospital is an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) facility, the employee owners will continue to be the company's largest share holder group. 6nc of the principal princi-pal reasons HealthTrust has been successful has been because of employee ownership. Cory Cluff, age 14, son of Ron and Alicia Cluff of Mapleton, received his Eagle Scout Award in the Mapleton 9th Ward. He is in the ninth grade at the jr. high and is an honor student.
