Secried Mitchell Secried Irene Tomlin-son Tomlin-son Mitchell, 82, Pleasant Plea-sant Grove, died Friday, Fri-day, January 25, 1985, at American Fork Hospital. She is survived by five sons and two daughters : Mrs. Melvin (Margaret) Beardall, Mapleton; Mrs. Donald (Carolyn) Mclnteye, Kalispell, Montana; Robert Mit- California's Tournament Tour-nament of Roses, which is known nationwide for its annual New Year's Parade and Rose Bowl Football game got its start as "The Battle of Flowers" at a Pasadena Hunt Club. Miss Knutsen is a Rotary exchange student at the University of Utah working on her masters degree in teaching of retarded children. Her students in Norway will learn along with 'normal' children skills that will permit them to cope with life's problems. Miss Knutsen is sponsored by Rotary International thru her parent club, Kristiansand Club of Norway. Salt Lake Rotary Club No. 24 is acting as. her host club and advisor. John Dellaas, Springville club president, exchanges club flags with Miss Knutsen above. Garth Taylor Garth Sanford Taylor, 65, Las Vegas, Nevada, and formerly of Provo, died from a stroke Wednesday, January 23, 1985, at Las Vegas. He was born November 6, 1919, at Red Mesa, Colorado, to Leo S. and Stella Dean Taylor. He married Naomi Miller in March, 1941, at Provo. He was schooled in Provo and graduated from Provo High School. He worked for Olsen Dairy, later for Ironton Steel Plant, then Geneva Steel as a foreman over the central cen-tral maintenance department. He was at Geneva 30 years, retiring retir-ing in 1979. He lived in Provo, later in Salt Lake City and then moved to Las Vegas in 1983. He was a member of the LDS Church and served in World War II. He is survived by his wife of Las Vegas; four sons and one daughter: Glen S. Taylor, Denver, Colorado; Col-orado; Larry K. Taylor, Payson; Jerry L. Taylor, Elkridge; Alan G. Taylor, Provo; and Janet Moore, Las Vegas; 19 grandchildren; grand-children; and three brothers and one sister: Hal Taylor, Springville; Lynn ' Taylor, St. George; Russell Taylor, Denver, Colorado; and Leah Davis, Auburn, Calif. Burial was in Provo City Cemetery.
