The groom to be is Robert Colby Ward, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Robert Ward also of Springville. The couple plans to be married on Friday, February 10, 1984. Bishop Ned Poulson will perform the ceremony. A reception will be held to honor the couple that same evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Mapleton white church, 31 West Maple. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Robin graduated from Springville High School and LDS Seminary. She is currently employed in Spanish Fork. Colby graduated from Stratford High School in Houston, Texas. He is now attending Brigham Young University where he plays on the varsity baseball team. During the summer months he plays baseball for the Glacier Pilots in the Alaskan League. Showers were given for the bride by Mindy McHargue, Wylene McHargue, Dorthy Webb and Cindy Webb. Those attending the bridal couple will be Mindy McHargue, matron of honor, bridesmaids: Wvlene McHargue, Alyson Hamilton, Michele Quarnberg, Linda Bartholomew, Tena Bartholomew, Cathy Ward, Shelly Poulsen and the flower girl will be Amy Quarnberg. Hutchings of Mapleton, will marry Naulivou Lauaki son of Mr. and Mrs. Sione Lauaki of San Mateo, Calif, on Saturday, February 11 in Mapleton. A reception will honor the couple that same evening from 7-9 p.m. at Mapleton's 1st and 4th Ward Cultural Hall at 31 West Maple. All friends and family are invited. The bride-elect graduated from Springville High School and LDS Seminary and is now attending school U UTC in Provo. Her fiance graduated from Hofangahau Kenani College in Tonga. The couple will live in Provo where they are both employed. Davies, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Davies. They will be married in the Provo LDS Temple, on Friday, Feb. 3, 1984. A reception will honor the couple that evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the 12th and 1st ward chapel, 840 S. 400 E. Springville. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Davies If; Ji Earnest M. and Evelyn Boyer Ernest, Evelyn Boyer to celebrate 50th anniversary Ernest M. and Evelyn Boyer of Springville, are planning to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. In observance of the occasion, relatives and friends are invited to an open house to be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Eleventh Ward LDS Church. 555 So. 600 East. Hosting the event are their children: E. Fritz and Norma Boyer of Washington D.C., Laraine B. and Terry Curtis of American Fork, Dianne B. and Larry Johnson of Salt Lake City, Randy and Marie Boyer of Sandy, Jay and Linda Boyer of Fargo, N.D. They also have 20 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. The family request no gifts. On Friday, Feb. 3, the date they were married, they will enjoy a family dinner. The Boyers were born and reared in Springville and have been active in community and church affairs, serving in both executive and teaching capacities. A highlight in their life was a call to serve an LDS mission in the Anchorage Alaska Mission witlh assignment in the Yukon Territory of Canada.
