Show Page Four - The Springville OOAL Quamberg to marry McHargue Mindy Quamberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Owen , Quamberg of Mapleton, will marry Todd McHargue, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul McHargue, also of Mapleton, on Friday, July 22, in the Jordan River LDS Temple. A wedding luncheon will follow at the home of the groom's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Bennett. A garden reception honoring the couple will be held the same evening at the home of the bride's parents, 1073 N. 1600 W., Mapleton, from 7 to 9 p.m. The bride's sister Robin will attend as maid of honor. Other attendants will be Wylene McHargue, Dena Thompson, Tracy Orme and Michele Quamberg. Amy Quamberg will serve as flower girl. Best men will be Dale Williams and Christian Quamberg. Quam-berg. The bride-elect graduated from Springville High School and LDS Seminary. She is employed in Orem. Her fiance also graduated from Springville High School and LDS Seminary. He presently works in Mapleton. Special guests will be grandparents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Curtis, Mapleton, and Mrs. Dorothy Webb, Springville; also, the grandparents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Bennett, Mapleton. Preunptial parties were given by Tracy Orme, Dena Thompson and Tammy Sam; Janie Hjorth; and Dorothy Webb and Cindy Webb. The couple will live in Springville. Jensen celebrates 80 years in Mapleton The family of J. Fay Jensen honored him on his 80th birthday with a luncheon. Guests included his children and families and brothers and sisters. After the luncheon, the family enjoyed a video of, "This is Your Life," a program concerning Fay that was performed at the church last spring. Fay was born in Mapleton, Utah, on July 16, 1903, the second of nine children born to Joseph and Harriet Lucinda Whiting Jensen. Fay has spent his entire life in Mapleton, leaving only once to fill an LDS mission to the Northern States. He attended schools in Mapleton, Springville, and at Brigham Young University. He married Beth Anderson in the Manti Temple July 23, 1931. They had five children, three of whom survive, Rex, Mapleton, Joy (Mrs. Jimmy Nielsen), Spanish Fork and Pauline, Spanish Fork. They have 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. grand-children. He was Scout Master for a number of years and holds the rank of Eagle Scout. Has served in several church capacities especially working with the youth, and is a high priest. He owned and operated a farm and fruit orchard. Fay has many hobbies. He loves to paint, and has given pictures to all of his family. ' Wings to celebrate I 60th anniversary at home Saturday Arthur and Marguerite Wing will celebrate their 6oth wedding anniversary an-niversary at their home, 507 S. 4oo E in Springville, July 21 from 5 to 7 p m. Mr. and Mrs. Wing were married July 18, 1923 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Lewis of Springville announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Pamela Ann Lewis, to Mr. Ted W. Clark, son of Ted H. and Blanch B. Clark of Heber City. The couple plans to be married on Wednesday, July 27 at the home of the bride's sister, 247 E. 100 N., Spanish Fork. Bishop Randall Morgan will preside. There will be no reception. The bride-to-be graduated from Springville High School in 1981. She currently works at DHI Computer Service of Provo. , The prospective groom graduated from Heber High School. He is employed at Heber Lumber in Heber. . Pre-nuptial parties were given by Teresa Dallin, the bride's sister; Joanne Wiley, the bride's aunt; and the groom's mother in Heber. The couple plans to live in Springville for a while, then move to Orem. J ' 1 Hf s Mike Kramer and Lisa Bringhurst Homemakers Club The Homemakers Club, in their monthly meeting held Thursday, July 14, spent a morning visiting four homes in the Springville area, and then lunched at the home of Andrea Pickering. The first home visited was that of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Livingston. The home was a family project, built by Bill and Linda, with help from family members. The home of Dr. and Mrs. Wendell Gadd was the next home visited. Noteworthy in the home were the easy accessability of rooms and the outdoor landscaping. A log cabin equipped with solar heating, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Brian Lambert, was the third home on the tour. The Lamberts shared their experiences with solar heating with the club. The last visit was to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Black, an old house that the Blacks are currently renovating. Mr. Black told the group something of the history of the home while they visited. The club's next meeting will be the officers' brunch on August 11, which will include a quilt show. The Wings have five children: Floyd Wing, Provo; Mrs. Evan Francis (Mary), Vacaville, Calif.; Mrs. Kenneth Cluft (Helen), Orem; Harold K. Wing, Springville; and Richard Wing (deceased). They enjoy their 25 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the anniversary celebration. They request no gifts, please, Arthitr HIh Bringhurst to marry Kramer tomorrow in Crismon takes second in skills test Larry Herman Crismon of Springville won second place in a job interview contest at the United States Skill Olympics, sponsored by the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America last month in Louisville, Ky. Over 8,000 students and their advisors attended this conference. President Ronald Reagan addressed the conference and gave the keynote address. Astronaut Charles Duke praised VICA members for their dedication and patriotism. Crismon is a post-graduate student at Utah Technical College at Orem. More than 2,500 outstanding vocational students joined in the hands-on competition in 38 different trade, technical and leadership fields. Working against the clock, one another, and themselves, they proved their expertise in job skills and leadership skills. Brunsons give free concert The Branson Brothers will give a free trumpet quartet concert on Wednesday, July 27, at 7 p.m. in Mapleton Park. The concert is sponsored by the Utah Association of Women, a group that supports young artists who perform top quality music. The public is invited to attend this concert.
