High school gang fight A gang fight at Springville High School between Spanish Fork and Springville Spr-ingville High School students was prevented Tuesday by Springville Police. Students from Spanish Fork walked through the halls of the high school Monday saying they wanted to fight, and an appointment was made for Tuesday at noon, Officer Chuck Senn said. The police were tipped of the fight. and four or five units were called to the scene. Approximately 40 Springville High School students were waiting when they arrived, Senn said, and two trucks with six or seven students from Spanish Fork showed up. One window was broken out of a police car by a thrown rock, but no arrests ar-rests were made at the time, Senn said, and the incident is under investigation. Officer Senn, of the Springville Police, said the youth is being charged with the April 15 fire at Sage Creek Elementary. Senn said the fire was contained to one room, but smoke damage occurred in other rooms. The damage done was estimated at over $3,000. Rich was transferred to the El Dorado Hospital in Tucson, Arizona as assistant administrator for the facility. DeAnn was raised in California and graduated from Alameda High School. She then attended HYU where she graduated in 1966, with a major - in sociology. Following her graduation, she taught Spanish. English and music at Manila High School in Manila, Utah. DeAnn began her nursing training in 1973. She graduated from Weber State College's nursing program in 1975. She began her nursing career at McKay Dee Hospital as a staff nurse, and progressed to a charge nurse in the Intensive In-tensive Care Unit. . In 1977, DeAnn moved to Richfield and took over the duties of the Director of Nursing for the Sevier Valley She was very active in hospital management, taught CPR classes and had several articles published. DeAnn is excited about joining Mountain View Hospital's staff. She feels the employees are friendly and knowledgeable and believes the hospital has a good operating philosophy and an excellent ex-cellent future. She is very active and likes skiing, painting, ceramics, sewing, scuba diving, water skiing, racketball and camping. She enjoys watching pro sports.
