If you are a football fan or are interested in seeing girls' athletics promoted or the track team get a few breaks then the high Ideas for Better Living An organization of muscular, deep-breathing educators is doing its best to get Americans hiking just for the health of it. This is the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education and Recreation, and many of its members are high school coaches, physical education teachers, school nurses and dance teachers. One of their concerns is the high school football hero who flashes across the gridiron in a blaze of brilliance, graduates, and promptly ignores anything more strenuous than pulling that rubber band off the evening paper. Instead, these educators want students to adopt at least one "lifetime" sport Besides hiking, they're talking about such sports as tennis, golf, swimming, swim-ming, bicycling, skiing and jogging. They're emphasizing school stadium is the place to go. All those interested are urged to come Saturday and jump on the band wagon of support. Family membership is $5. A larger donation will be accepted. There will be cards and stickers for members, along with other fringe benefits to be outlined at Saturday's meeting.
