Junior Golf Tournament held at Hobble Creek Golf Course Eighty junior golfers throughout the state teed off Monday at Hobble Creek ( Golf T-ball League action ending T-Ball has been an exciting baseball inovation this year. The concept came from the need to give our eight year old boys a better chance for hitting and fielding, rather than the pitcher and catcher playing catch for six innings. The ball is placed on a tee at home plate. The pitcher goes through the pitching motion on the mound and the hitter hits the ball. From there it is all action in the in-field and at the bases. The T-ball league for 1975 is. headed by Max Locke and Jim Giles. They have done an excellent ex-cellent job of running the program of the league. The league has four teams, all eight year old boys who wanted to play being placed on a team. The average size of a team is eleven players. Teams in the league are: Indians managed by Jim Haupt; Dodgers managed by Clark Whitlock and assisted by Wayne Cutler; Giants managed by Owen Hardy and Don Tuttle; and Red Socks, managed by Alan Curtis and assisted by Russ Rawlings and Boyd Friel.
