Fishing is generally good in most waters during spring, but it often slows down in summer as fish seek cool water deep in lakes and reservoirs. Anglers should change their tactics to match the change of fish habits. Fish the deeper parts of lakes during the middle of the day. Fishing near inlets where cooler, aerated water enters from streams is often productive. produc-tive. Trolling deep or fishing on the bottom with bait will help get the fishook where the fish are. Fishing early and late will find fish feeding in shallower water near the shore.
