Hymas said a new prefix, 224-in 224-in addition to the old 225- prefix, has been assigned to new numbers in Orem. "Many customers are confused con-fused when the operator gives them a 224- prefix for a new listing in Orem. People are so used to the old 225- number, they think the operator gives them a 224- prefix for a new listing in Orem. People are so used to the old 225- number, they think the operator has made a mistake. Many dial 225- anyway and get a wrong number or recording. Then they call directory assistance again," Hymas said. He explained that the new prefix number 224- has been assigned to Orem because of new call switching equipment installed in the telephone office. (Growth in the area outdistanced the equipment associated with the 225- prefix, so new equipment, equip-ment, carrying the 224- prefix was installed to serve new residents requesting telephone service. So the next time a directory assistance operator gives an Orem number with the first three digits, 224-, be assured it is no mistake. It is a working number. -Hopping from lane to lane on the highway is not only illegal, but dangerous. Road signs are posted to help save lives. Read them and heed them. The problem of adequate ownership records has come about primarily during the past year by various people or companies who have bought several hundred head of cattle in the fall. When the cattle are ready for sale in the spring, the new owner has been unable to produce proper ownership records to the brand inspector. A great deal of effort has been put forth the past year by the Department of Ariculture to clear these cattle, but commencing com-mencing with this notice, the burden of proof of ownership will rest with the individual owner. Cattle cannot be moved or inspection in-spection certificates granted without the above mentioned proof of ownership. The Brand Inspection program is a service performed to help regulate livestock movement and protect animal owners with registered brands.
