Show Legion, Auxiliary meet January 12 American Legion Auxiliary will hold their next meeting Wednesday, January 12 at 7:30 at the Memorial Hall, announces President Reva Lynn. Pratt performing the ceremony. r. ' Parents of "me bf ideafe "Mri' and Mrs. D. Frank Jones of this city and parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Verl Beckstead of Kanarraville. A reception followed the marriage ceremony in the stake center given by the bride's parents. For the occasion the bride was radiant in a dress of white crepe styled with a sweetheart neckline, long full sleeves with a wide cuff. Lace was appliqued at the neckline, cuff and hem. Her fingertip length veil was held by a band of flowers. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations, white mums and red roses. Attending the bride were Mrs. Michael Simmons, Shauna Jones, a sister; Shannon Peck, Tawna Hunt, Wendy Oldroyd, Judy Erickson and Mrs. David Stewart. Their dresses were long pink, ruffled at the wrist and neckline and with burgundy vests. They carried long stemmed red roses with silver streamers. The bride's mother's dress was pink brocaded satin while "the" groom's mother was gowned ' in pale green chiffon. Their flowers were pink glamnelias. Best man duties were performed per-formed by Clint Ence. Greeting guests were Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Hatfield. At the guest register were Gloria Jones and Jackie Barnes. Attending the gift room were Glenna Ferguson, Mrs. Donald Jones, with gift bearers being Jeff Stoker, Darryl Jones, Karrie Stoker. Assisting with the serving were Wendy Jones, Carla Norwood, Lori Stoker, Debbie Dove, Christina Thomas, Jeannie Smith, Lisa Oldroyd. Hostess was Mrs. R. D. Jones. Their wedding cake was a 4-tiered 4-tiered one with a cascade of pink roses at the top. The newlyweds are making their home in Cedar City. Party held at Brown home A party honoring Capt. and Mrs. Ray P. Brown was held Wednesday evening at the home oi his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Brown. A lovely buffet luncheon was served and the group enjoyed playing games and visiting. The Browns spent the holidays here from Kelly AFB in San Antonio, Texas. They returned Tuesday with their two daughters. Yuletide party held by Pari Passu Club Cultural Arts Club reports one of the most delightful Yuletide parties was held at the home of Mrs. Carl Peterson. Witney on January 14. A reception is planned in the Kolob Stake House that same evening from 7:30 to 10.00 p.m. The newlyweds will make their home in Springville following their marriage. Mary Lyne is a graduate of the Springville High School where she was cheerleader for 3 years. She was a 4-year Seminary graduate. She was a member of the Novelty Circle, reigned as Homecoming Queen her senior year and was Sweetheart Queen her sophomore year. She was employed by the National Cheerleaders Association as a cheerleading instructor and is now in her sophomore year at the BYU. Mr. Witney is a graduate of Springville High and Seminary. He was active in many of the school's athletic programs. He attended Utah State University for a year majoring in Biological Science. He recently returned from Vietnam where he served as Sgt. in Company Com-pany C 1st Battalian, 26th Infantry of the 1st Division. Mark Laws observe 60th wedding anniversary with family members January 6, 1972 The Springville Herald Page Seven Mark A. and Mable Clegg Law observed their 60th wedding anniversary last Wednesday, Dec. 29 with family members gathering to wish them well on the occasion. The Laws were married Dec. 29, 1911 in Provo. Mr. Law is in ill health and is presently staying at the Central Utah Convalescent Center, 575 East 1400 South in Orem. He enjoys visitors from home or they may call him at 225-5863. The Laws enjoyed a reunion during the summer in connection con-nection with Art City Days when the family, three sons and 8 of their grandchildren were together. Their sons, Howard, Mark Dale and Glen were also home just prior to Christmas. Howard and his wife spent the month of December with the family.
