There's a Jaycees welcome new members By Erik Anderson The meeting of Dec. S was an enjoyable one for us. We had an informal meeting introducing ourselves and just getting to know each other. We had several guests (prospective members) and two decided to join. They are Larry Taylor of 310 S. 300 West Larry is a manager for Pepsi Cola and is also a counselor in the 8th ward Elders quorum and Dennis Poorman of 360 W. 400 N., No. 69. Dennis is a lineman for Tabco Corp. We welcome these two fine men and are looking forward to working with them. We held a discussion period where Erik Anderson explained the external aspects of the chapter and the up coming projects we have planned. Jeff . Roberts, Internal Vice Pres., explained the programs the Jaycees have to offer. Pres. Weldon Hill then held an open forum discussion and we had some good ideas come out. This is the purpose of the program. The spirit of the program is catching on. We have momentem now and with enthusiastic en-thusiastic action on our part, we are going to grow. Come join us. Tues. evening Dec. 19. We attended the district "Christmas party" meeting out in Payson at the "old fire house." Dinner, dancing and the company of our good wives made for a beautiful time. We'd like to thank our host chapter, Spanish Fork, for the evening. The Jaycees stress personal development and civic activity, but the fellowship aspect is also a very important part of the program. Get to know young men from other cities, states and even countries. There are no bounds to the possibilities. I find this quite exciting. It was a good week for us and we are looking forward to a very successful new year. We'd like to extend our best wishes to all of you during this, the celebration of the birth of our Lord. Open Letter Thanks given As the Field Director of the Region IV Task Force let me take this opportunity to express to your our gratitude for your willingness to print the names of those who have been arrested by this Department. Through past experience we find that it is essential that the general public be made aware of those in the city who are in fact using as well as selling controlled con-trolled substances. We hope that we might be able to maintain this type of rapport between our different concerns in the future. If at any time we might be able to assist you, please do not hisitate to call up us. Sincerely, Jesse W. Evans Project Director Ralph Les Harper , Field Director Provo. Utah P.S. Especially, let me thank Mrs. McMillan for her special interest and courtesy when we call your office.
