(Mac) McNeill, 65, who died January 24, 1970 in the Utah Valley Hospital. Bishop Glenn B. Orton of the Ninth Ward officiated. Burial was in the Springville Evergreen Ever-green Cemetery with military rites by the Springville American Amer-ican Legion Post. Born January 23, 1905 in American Fork, the son of He-ber He-ber and Eliza Johnston McNeill, he married Myrtle Thorn on March 16, 1929 at Spring Canyon, Carbon County. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Mr. McNeill was an elder in the LDS Church. He served four -years in the U.S. Marine Corps in China and Guam. A former businessman in Duchesne Du-chesne County, he worked as a machinist at the Tooele Army Depot until his retirement. retire-ment. Survivors include his wife of Springville and four sons and four daughters: Ted McNeill, Lehi; Boyd McNeill, Bancrooft, Idaho; Glenn McNeill, West Jordan, and Grant McNeill, Tooele; Mrs. Jim (Barbara) Kinney, Tooele; Mrs. Gerald (Linda) Schofield, Tooele; Mrs. Don (Joan) Campbell, Tooele; and Mrs. John (Patricia) Minardi, Min-ardi, Salt Lake City; 41 grandchildren; grand-children; foster daughter, Mrs. Albert (Jennie) Young, Tooele and a sister, Mrs. Glen (Jean) Edwards, Provo. He was born February 26, 1917, at Vernal, Utah, the son of Edward P. and Ella May Nott Grey. He married Laura Bartlett September 11, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple. His early life was spent in Vernal and later he lived in Salt Lake City and in Utah County for 22 years. They moved to Springville in 1968. He was active in the church serving as superintendent of the MIA, was general secretery of the adujt Aaronic Priesthood, Priest-hood, Seventies quorum president,, presi-dent,, Sunday School teacher, priesthood adviser. He was a high priest in the thirteenth ward at the time of his death. He served as a ward genealogical genealogi-cal examiner and was his family fam-ily genealogical representative. He was born in Lindon September Sep-tember 28, 1891, a son of George Richard and Elizabeth Cullimore Ash. He married Bertha Fage January 14, 1914 in the Salt Lake Temple. A daughter and two sons and other relatives survive. Kin of local woman dies Services for Grant Forsyth Penrod, 61, Provo, brother of Mrs. Roy (Helen) Strong, were held Monday at the Berg Mortuary. Mr. Penrod died January 23, 1970 at the Utah Valley Hospital of a heart attack. at-tack. Burial was in the Provo City Cemetery. He was born October 31, 1908 in Provo, a son of Charles Wells and Sarah Forsyth Pen-rod. Pen-rod. He married Elma Osgu-thorpe, Osgu-thorpe, October 7, 1932 in Salt Lake City. He is survived by his widow and other relatives. Steele FSB president; promotions listed The election of Harold J. Steele as president of First Security Se-curity Bank of Utah, N.A. has beep, announced. Mr. Steele succeeds George S. Eccles as president of the state-wide bank. Mr. Eccles, who has served as president of the bank since 1934, will become be-come chairman of the bank, and continues as president and chief executive officer of the First Security Corporation parent par-ent organization of the bank as well as chairman of its executive ex-ecutive committee. Also announced was the retirement re-tirement of Marriner S. Eccles as chairman of First Security Bank of Utah, N.A. He will continue to serve in his capacity ca-pacity of chairman of the parent par-ent organization, First Security Corporation, and member of the executive committee. Marriner Mar-riner S. Eccles was the first president of the corporation founded in 1928 and in 1920 was president of the base bank of the organization, First National Na-tional Bank of Ogden. The election of Spencer F. Eccles, Boise, Idaho, as executive execu-tive vice president of First Security Se-curity Company, operating arm of First Security Corporation, was also announced. He was also named a vice president of First Security Corporation, and member of its executive and investment committees. Mr. Eccles, who is a senior vice president ' of First Security Bank of Idaho, N.A., will take over his new position in the next few months. Mr. Seele joined the First Security organization in Salt Lake City in 1945. He was elected senior vice president and director of First Security Bank of Utah, N.A., in 1953 and since 1961 has served as executive vice president of the bank. Ex-Springville resident dies Saturday funeral services in Spanish Fork were held for Darwin A. Taylor, Springville native and brother of Frank Taylor of this city. Mr. Taylor, 75, died January 21, 1970 of a heart attack at his home. He was born February 14, 1894 in Springville, a, son of Jabez and Mary Ruth' Taylor. He married Eleanor May Mar-tell Mar-tell April 16, 1919 in the Salt Lake Temple. She died July 17, 1965. He later married Ida M. Brown on February 14, 1966 in Provo. He received his education in Springville schools and was a veteran of World War I. He worked 35 years at the Ironton Steel Plant and farmed in Spanish Fork. He is survived by his widow, three sons and three daughters and other relatives. Burial was in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Cem-etery.
