S. Holt, president, Utah Oil Refining Co., today announced, a contract has been let to the M. W. Kellogg Co., of New York, for construction of a $,500,000 propane pro-pane de-asphalting plant as an adjunct to the company's refinery refin-ery in Salt Lake City. Holt said work is expected to start soon, with the unit to be in operation by March 31, 1949. The company president said the new unit would increase the crude oil running capacity of the refinery, increase the catalytic cracking capacity and improve the company s position in the manu facture of road oil and asphalts.
