F. : Crandall when members of the Orem Literary club were her guests on Thursday afternoon. The afternoon's program which Mrs. Crandall arranged featured a prominent Utah composer and writer, Mary ' Hales Woolsey of Salt Lake City. The program was com posed entirely of songs, poems and short stones written by the honored guest. Mrs James G. Stratton and Mrs. Melba Calder sang several songs she has written including "When It's Springtime in the Rockies," "When the Wild Wild Roses Bloom" and "On the Trails rf Tlmnnnani " Those enjoying the afternoon j Kenneth Wllkey were honored at were Mrs. C. Thompson called Sunday afternoon and early evening to greet her on the occasion oc-casion of her 77th birthday. Lovely Love-ly gifts, flowers and greetings were received by Mrs. Thompson. Thomp-son. Among the gifts was a painting, paint-ing, the work of , Mrs. Amos N. Merrill, presented by Dr. and Mrs. Merrill. A large birthday cake centered the serving table where granddaughter, grand-daughter, Marjorie Ann Murray, and a friend Norma Buchanan presided. Friends came from all over Utah to the open-house and many conference visitors from Idaho also attended. Hostess for the occasion was Mrs. La Rue Williams, daughter of Mrs. Thompson. Club Notes Moose Women Celebrate Birthday The Jtirst anniversary of Provo chapter, Women of the Moose, was celebrated Saturday at the Federation room. Visitors from Salt Lake City and Price conducted con-ducted ritual and initiation rites. Executives congratulated the PrVvo group on the many accomplishments accom-plishments of the first year. The popular young couple will recite marriage vows on April 19 in the Manti LDS temple. Articles displayed at the br-'.aar br-'.aar will be sold with the profits -lated for various Home Economics Econ-omics projects, i n eluding a Toreign scholarship, traveling expenses ex-penses to the national convention, and a building fund, according to Rosemary Phillips of Ft. Sill. Okla., general chairman. Girls of the home economics department at BYU are making the articles which will include blouses, dish towels, hand-towels, luncheon sets, and other needlework needle-work items. Women of Provo are especially invited to attend the bazaar and participate with the students. Many of the articles would be suitable for gifts, particularly as shower or reception gifts, Miss Phillips indicated. Part of the bazaar will be devoted de-voted especially to articles for Trousseaus for students who are brides-to-be and other young women wo-men of Provo, she added. Covers were laid at the T bhaped table for eighty guests at tending the lovely affair. Blue and gold were the predominating colors in the pretty arrangements of spring flowers and tapers which decorated the table. Combined Com-bined 'place cards and favors were small clocks used to carry out the theme of "Now Is The Hour." The evening's program opened with a sextette composed of Lil& Mae McDonald, Nedra Nuttail, Joan Loveless, Delores Bobbins, Birdene fTerry, and Faye Rowley singing the theme song. Gayle Gammon was mistress of ceremonies cere-monies introducing patrons and their partners all of whom spoke including Principal and Mrs. A. P. Warnlck, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Terry, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Briggs, Mr. and Mrs. Don Dixon and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Booth. New officers which were recently re-cently elected were introduced during the evening.
