Hicks, superintendent of Geneva's Geneva Coal Mine in Horse Can yon, Utah, has been appointed general superintendent of. mines, effective Jan. 1. 1948. As general superintendent of mines for Geneva Steel company, Mr. Hicks will have jurisdiction over the mining operations of the Geneva and Columbia coal mines and the Columbia Iron Mining company.
