The young man chose as his bride Marjorie .May Hen-rlbh Hen-rlbh from the state of Washington. VThe couple recited vows in lovely candle-light ceremony at the home of the groom's parents. A Christmas tree shed a soft light on the scene as Bishop Paul Richardson Rich-ardson of Eastmount ward performed per-formed the rites. The couple stood in front of the fireplace, which was banked with fern and poin-settas. poin-settas. The bride wore a lovely gown of light blue crepe, ballerina length end an orchid corsage and was given in marriage by Dewey Snelson. She was attended by Alice Brissle, who chose a smart green suit with gardenias. The mother of the groom wore a black gown accented with carnations. Robert Snelson attended his brother as best man. After the ceremony, a buffet dinner was served and the couple cut their cake before leaving leav-ing for a Washington honeymoon. They will return, to live in Hollywood. Holly-wood. Both young people have been attending Woodbury college and have been studying interior decoration. Mr. Snelson will graduate grad-uate in the spring. Receiving guests at the wedding was Mrs. Elmo Cheever. Betty Snelson was in charge of the many lovely gifts. Bridge After Yule Dinner It was a gay dinner party at Virginia Manor Tuesday evening for members of the Happy Hour bridge club. Decorations of the season were used at the manor and at the home of Mrs. Del Larsen, where the group met later to play bridge. Awards went to Mrs. Elmer Carlton and Mrs! Glen Borget. Guts were exchanged by Mrs. Glen Borget, Mrs. Ray Borget, Mrs. Herbert Creviston, Mrs. Al fred Bennett. Mrs. LeRoy Davis. Greetings From Japan FAYSON Unable to buv Christmas cards in Japan. Capt. and Mrs. Vern Clayson (Marie Hancock) send their greetings to Utah friends through a letter, written to Mr. Clayson's mother, Mrs. Dora Hancock, some two weeks ago. Air mail from Japan takes two weeks, while regular boat mail requires a month passage pas-sage time. . Mrs. Clayson reports that they are enjoying themselves, but they do miss home this Christmas season. sea-son. They live in a lovely two-story two-story house, and have some of their own furnishings sent from their home in Utah. Their electric refrigerator and rugs have recently re-cently arrived. Everyone there has servants, and the houseboy of the Clayson? is a young medical student who takes delight in teaching the Japanese Jap-anese language to yourig Lynn Clayson. An electric train is used only by Americans, and there is no long distance fee for telephone calls over the Island. Mrs. Clayson Clay-son writes that the weather is similar to ours, cold rains having been-experienced during the writing writ-ing of her last letter. RosLyn is a graduate of Provo high school and seminary and is now employed at Taylor's. She is the daughter of Ralph Westover of St. George, Utah. Mr. Bunting graduated from Dixie Junior college at St. george and has attended Texas A and M, Utah State Agriculture Agri-culture and Utah county vocational school. He served during dur-ing World War II with army air communication services. Cowan, the entire family of grown sons and daughters, daugh-ters, gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. (Donna) Gallup Gal-lup in Provo. The dinner table was cleverly decorated with evergreen ever-green and twinkling Christmas lights, and lighted tapers added to the festive appointments. Thirteen BYU students from Hawaii delighted the guest with songs and stories in their native tongue. Native dances and guitar music also delighted the audience. Edith Powell, vice-chairman of the board, spoke briefly in wel come $ and introduced Sylvan Clark, county commissioner, who addressed the group. Prayer was given by E. D. Jones. All members mem-bers of the county board were in attendance. a tricycle and little drum for little lit-tle brother. He says that his niece, Ann Marie, is only four months old and is really cute. He would like Santa to bring, her a teddy bear and a rattle. Presidency of the stake, anrt preisthood representatives as well as partners of the members were special guests.
