Collard wants Provo to be in readiness for the Centennial by beautifying our homes, public buildings, parks, playgrounds and surrounding surround-ing scenic attractions. HOW CAN THIS BE ACCOMPLISHED? Finish the "UNFINISHED JOBS" left over by former city administra. tions during, the past 10 years. it A Civic Center capable of meeting all requirements for greater cultural and recreational facilities in Provo. ' it Encourage the building of a modern up-to-date hotel as a social center, tourist attraction and the hub of the trade area. it The perpetuation of GENEVA Steel by supporting and encouraging encourag-ing associate industries and. enterprises. Mr. Collard believes that Provo has much 1o offer in natural resources and should develop into the 'Industrial 'Indus-trial Hub" of the intermountain area. ir Encourage new industry to come into the area, thereby creating adequate payrolls, to warrant the return of our veterans to Prpyp and keep our young men and women from going to other areas to make their homes. it Encourage the making of homes in the "home town" of our returning return-ing servicemen.
