ETTTS DAST An attractive semi-formal of the week end was the annual invitational in-vitational dancing party given by the Utah Delta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, Saturday evening at the Wilson Little theater in Pay-son. Pay-son. Forty couples attended the function, the highlight of which was a floor show. A demonstration demonstra-tion of ballroom dancing was given by a group of high school boys and girls who also presented the military tap novelty. An athletic ath-letic ballet was furnished by Elaine Bartholomew. A patriotic decorative scheme prevailed, red, white and blue sweet peas and candles gracing the serving table, which was overed with a white lace cloth. Miss Frances Johnson of Spanish Fork was chairman. She was assisted by Mis3 Christa Olson, president of the sorority. The members of the Euhronian club were entertaine'd at the home of Mrs. Fred Jex Wednesday evening. eve-ning. Mrs. Preston Hughes was in charge. Community singing was conducted by Mrs. Ubert Clark. Raymond Peterson, member of the junior chamber of commerce gave a talk on "Americanism." Mrs. Albert Clark gave a very interesting in-teresting review on "Travels In Egypt," by Frank Carpenter. After Aft-er a brief business discussion, a delicious luncheon was served by the hpstess to sixteen members. A patriotic theme wa3 carried out in the refreshments. Honoring the tenth' birthday of her little daughter, Barbara, Mrs. Ed Clark entertained a group of 33 young friends of Barbara's at a cleverly arranged Valentine party Friday afternoon. The function func-tion was held in the amusement room at the Clark home, which was cleverly decorated with hearts and Valentines. Merry games were enjoyed by the children after which refreshments which carried out the Valentine theme were served by the hostess. A birthday cake with candles lent a festive air to the party. Mrs. Merrill Larsen delightfully entertained the members of the Aglaian club Wednesday evening. This being Americanism week, that theme was carried out In the program.
