Cards would be appreciated, j COPPERTON WARD RELIEF SOCIETY Copperton Ward Relief Society is holding its opening social a luncheon and program at the ward house this Monday, October 3, at 12:30 p.m. and all Copperton Relief Re-lief Society member are invited to attend. A reorganization of the Copper-ton Copper-ton Ward Relief Society presidency has also been reported. New officers offic-ers are: Mrs. Lucinda Olsen, president; presi-dent; Mrs. Cenevieve Cadd, first counselor; Mrs. Grace Olsen, second sec-ond counselor; and Mrs. Myrtle DeCol, secretary. Class leaders are: Mrs. Caya Xanthos, visiting teachers; teach-ers; Mrs. Jackie Bodily, theology; Mrs. Cwen Crump, social science;' Mrs. Fawn Price, literature, and Mrs. Helen Cranquist, work day. It was reported also that Mrs. Price is the new literature leader on the Stake Relief Society Board. The regular Relief Society meeting meet-ing for Tuesday, Oct. '4, is visiting teachers message at 9:15 a.m. under un-der direction of Mrs. Xanthos followed fol-lowed at 10 o'clock by the theology lesson to be given by Mrs. Bodily, All members are invited. Copperton Ward Primary monthly mon-thly preparation meeting will be held at the wardhouse next Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Bill Densley and children, Cindy, Douglas and Leslie Jo of Kearns visited and were overnight guests last Thursday and Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis DeCol and family. Louis DeCol is in St. Mark's Hospital Hos-pital for tests. Elwin Abplanalp of Vernal is spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. George Abplanalp and family. Visitors and dinner guests last Friday of Mr. and Mrs. George Abplanalp and family were Mr. and Mrs. Max Ivie and children, Kathy and Brent, of Murray. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Jensen and son, Jack, spent a very enjoyable day at Mirror Lake last Friday. Mrs. Louis DeCol visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Densley and family of Kearns recently and helped her granddaughter. Cindy, celebrate her sixth birthday. Mr. and Mrs. James Xanthos and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Jensen attended at-tended a party Monday afternoon given for their granddaughter, Mary Ann Jensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Jensen of Magna, in honor of her seventh birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Crellin and son, Steven, leh last Friday morning morn-ing to return to their home in San D.ego, Calif., after a week' visit here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rex B. Garrett and Mr. and Mrs. James Crellin. Wednesday evening a birthday party was given for Marjorie Garrett Gar-rett in honor of her 13th birthday by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rex B. Carrett. A lovely dinner was served at the Garrett home after which roller skating at the S and M Rink was enjoyed. Guests attending attend-ing were Barbara Jimas, Mitzi Mu-har, Mu-har, Claudia Long, Christine Winn, Sheri Olsen, Christine Johnson, Gloria Nafus, and Judy Dimond of West Jordan. A delightful time was enjoyed by all. Judy Dimond of West Jordan was overnight guest Wednesday of Marjorie Mar-jorie Garrett, and Marjorie spent Thursday (yesterday) at Judy's home in West Jordan. Mrs. Robert R. West and daughters, daugh-ters, Judy and Debbie, of Salt Lake City spent Thursday (yesterday) with her mother, Mrs. W. H. Jackson. Jack-son. Visiting here for two weeks from Montebello, Calif., are Mr. and Mrs Dick Susaeta and two daughters, Geri Lyn and Karen Lee. They are visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Downs and Mr. and Mrs Joe Susaeta and other relatives and friends. Attending a birthday dinner Wed nesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs Elvin Armitstead honoring Mr. Armitstead'a birthday anniversary were Mrs. Russell Miller and three children, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Eastman and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Downs and son and Mrs. Arvil Armitstead and three children. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Maher of Tooele visited Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Verio Kendrick and family. Visiting and dinner guests Wednesday Wed-nesday of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Chris tensen were Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Christensen and son, Dennis, of Kearns. Dennis stayed to spend the week end with his grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Bodily and family entertained at a family birthday birth-day dinner Tuesday night honoring their youngest daughter Gina's first birthday. Guests attending were Mr. and Mrs. V. S. Barlow of Mid-vale Mid-vale and Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Haws of Magna. Mrs. Miles Gaythwaite was hostess hos-tess to the Entre Nous Club last Thursday night. Mr. and Mrs. Angus Christensen are driving to St. George this Monday Mon-day to pick up Mrs. Alice Hardy of children, Neysa, LeeAnna and Gary and Mrs. Xanthos parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lera Schow of Salt Lake City attended the state fair and ice follies fol-lies last Friday. Neysa, LeeAnna and Gary stayed overnight last Friday and Saturday with their grandparents and attended the fair again on Saturday. They came home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Nick GolUh and daughters, Vickie and Valori, of Salt Lake City visited and enjoyed dinner Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. George Abplanalp and family. |
