Craig Stewart wrote a letter that 'only he and Santa can understand, un-derstand, so It will be submitted to that gentleman. Carolyn Jean Cameron says that she has been a good girl and would like a cute doll with a full dress, a pair of house slippers, a nurse set, dress, new shoes, ribbons, rib-bons, skates',- candy; huts, Mickey Mouse watch, doll buggy and long stockings. Little sister needs a doll, rocking chair and story books. Norma wrote to say that she Would like. a magic-skin doll, a story book and a doll case and a Mickey Mouse wrist watch. Tommy Tom-my GUes says that he wants one pair of cowboy boots and sox to match, cowboy hat, lasso, rocking horse and lots -of candy and nuts. He reminds Santa not to forget his friend, Ellas Stahell, who wants a paint book and crayons. Tommy also stresses that he lives in a red brick house at 357 East Third South. MR. AND MRS. E. A. BATTY, Visitor Is Dinner Guest OREM Family members enter tained Sunday at a turkey dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Pyne in honor of Mrs Ray mond I. Dimmick of Denver. Col orado, who Is visiting friends and Open House Set for Pair Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Batty of this city, will be honored at an open-house open-house reception for their family and friends Saturday, December 2? from 2 until 6 p. m., when they will celebrate their 59th wedding anniversary. ,, Mr. and Mrs.Batty are parents of nine children, seven now living. liv-ing. They are Albert Ephralm Batty of Provo; Mrs. Eva Lock hart, Mrs. Vilate Wall, Salt Lake City; Delton Batty, Heber City; Carl Batty, Wallsburg; Belva Varney and Lettle Bennett of American Fork. There are also 30 grandchildren and 11 great-grand children. Mr. Batty was born In Wanshlp, Utah,, November z, 1807. Jrs, Batty, whose maiden name was Polly Ann Lamb, was oorn iune 30, 1869 in LehL They, were married mar-ried in Wallsburg by Austin Glen. Mr. and Mrs. Batty have been active In LDS church activities. They are' looking, - forward -to greeting their many friends at the reception. Gayette Club At Party LAKE VIEW A delightful Christmas party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Ed wards, it was given by the Gayette club. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Taylor. " PLEASANT GROVL Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Jensen of this city announced the forthcoming mar riage date of their- daughter Lyravine, at a well-arranged trousseau tea last Sunday, afternoon- from ihe hours of three to six o'clock. The 'Jensen home was beautifully decorated throughout With the fire glowing in the fire place ajarge oouquei oi wow snapdragons and silver holly reflected re-flected in the mirror above the mantel. The five tiered wedding cake was decorated to create a delicate white lacey effect and was crowned with two tiny wedding bells., , It stood, on a hand-em broidered, linen cloth. A. wreath of .heather centered with an or chid and -banks oft paper-whites and heather on either : side sur rounded the cake. With soft .music playing in the background, the guests were greeted by the bride-to-be, her mother, and the groom's Aother. Miss Jensen wore a white crepe afterdinner gown trimmed in gold. Her corsage of red raser was trimmed in matching goic color. The mothers wore black formats with corsages of pink carnations and red roses. The bride's trousseau was shown in two rooms. One dis played her -personal trousseau and the other her gifts and needle-work. At the close -of - the tea, the O. S. Travata girls, of which Miss Jensen is a member, surrounded the bride and groom, under the. mistletoe, and sang to them their sweetheart song and bride's song. - Refreshments were served to approximately 22S - guests who came to voice congratulations and best wishes to the younr couple. Miss Jensen will become ttu bride of Nash Grant,' son of Mrs. Lyle G. Beck, of American Fork, at a quiet home wedding on December De-cember 22nd. The first part will depict the story of Christmas and the second part "The Night Before Christmas' will be dramatized. Santa will be there to present each child with a gift. The Guides of .Bonneville ward Primary held a Christmas party at the home of their teacher, Mrs. Katie BensQn. Games were played and the boys drew gifts from a large box.
