Come, Come ! Somebody" Owns the Bridge The bridge across Provo river at the boat harbor was an orphan today, with both Provo city and Utah county, declining to claim it. The city commission asked the county commission to construct a new and wider bridge, to care for the heavy traffic to the boat harbor. The request ceme in connection connec-tion with an announcement by the Provo city dads to hard-surface the city road to the lake harbor. The county commission countered with the statement that Provo city owned the ground on both sides of' the river, and therefore the bridge was the city's worry. Mayor Mark Anderson said the city owns the ground on the north side, all right, but that its status is merely that of a -private property - owner. The ground which the city purchased for the harbor still lies in Utah county, the mayor may-or emphasized, and the city's status is no different than an individual owning ground in the county. The county commission revealed re-vealed during the course of the argument, however, that it intends to gravel and improve im-prove a mile and a half of county road leading to the boat harbor from the lower Geneva road at about the old beet slicer, on the north side of - thertver. This will give another outlet from the har-, har-, bor7 leading to the lower Geneva road where motorists may 'either go to Provo and south, or to the northern part of the county. Egypt Asks U. S.
