Cyril Paul Joseph Meagher of the Royal j Air Force Kerry commana 01 au-f&x. au-f&x. Nova Scotia. The wedding is to be late in April, in Quebec. Canada, Lt. Meagher's home. He is stationed at Montreal, Canada. Miss Bredesen has been employed employ-ed in the coast city for the past four years. . Wedding Date Set By Couple Margene Liljcnquist, daughter of Mr .and Mrs. Farrell Liljen-quist. Liljen-quist. and Glen W. Hill, sen of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hill of Kaysville, have set May 6 as their wedding date. The ruptials will take place in the Salt Lake temple, and a reception re-ception is planned for the evening of May 8, in the Joseph Smith building. They plan to live in Provo. Both are attending the B.Y.U., where they bride is affiliated with the Cesta Ties and the Calcares. Mr .Hill is in the marine reserves and is a member of the Brigadiers, Alpha Kappa Psi and the Intercollegiate Inter-collegiate Knights. Home Wedding Pretty Affair A pretty home wedding was that of Elaine Brady and G. Harold Duce, held Friday evening, at the home of the groom's mother Mrs. Margaret Duce of Provo. The. bride is a daughter of .Mrs. Georee. Newitt of Spanish Fork and was given in marriage by her sten-father. Mr. Newitt. Bishop Victor J. Bird of the Fourth ward performed the ceremony, witness ed by 20 family members and intimate in-timate friends. Tulips, bleeding L nated in the lovely springtime floral arrangements tnrougnout the rooms. The bride was lovely in a gown of white chiffon and lace, and she wore a white chiffon veil trimmed with lace, which fell from a Queen Victoria three-point crown of seed pearls. Her bou quet was of calla lilies and white and pink roses, tied with streamers stream-ers and showers, of rosebuds.4'- A weddirlg dinner immediately followed, the dining table holding a huge three-tiered wedding cake, Ltopped with bride and groom. It9 As gracious as she is attractive, Mrs. Alfred Luttrell, whose fascinating southern accrnt would imply that she was from just such a state as Virginia, is interested in biographies and . is really making a study of pioneer history. Residents of Provo for nearly1 a year now, the Luttrells have madr many friends, but are usually to to found evenings at their "nome at 345 East Sixth North street. "We're just home bodies and book-worms," said Rose Pulley Luttrell, whose genuine interest in people peo-ple has played an important part in her life. She is somewhat of a philosopher and has found from her intense study of biographies that "from small walks come great people." With this thought in mind Khe has found her greatest satisfaction in helping individuals in-dividuals through "stormy" days and readjustment periods. ' ' Mr. Luttrell is with the Aetna Casualty and Sur-ity Sur-ity company of Hartford, Conn., and has charge of the compensation insurance for employes at the Geneva Works arid the Ironton plant of Columbia Steel.' He has been engaged in the same, work and for the same company since 1939 changing' his mind about his profession after graduating from, the University Uni-versity of Virginia Law School, at Charlottesville, Va., in '38. He too, was born in. Virginia, and the couple have always lived in the south'. Mr. Luttrell has a fine baritone voice and has - always . been in music- circles and has now joined - Provo's - well-known Mendelssohn male chorus. He was a member of the University Glee, and sang iif Catholic and Episcopal churcn choirs for years. He . studied voice in New York. - .. Mr. Pope will be graduated and will be commissioned an ensign in the naval air corps, May 1, at Moffett field, California where he has been atteridiner since De cember. Previously, he attended! The chapel was beautifully decorated dec-orated with white snowballs arid fern. Only close family members and, friends were bidden to the pretty wedding. The bride, who was given lh marriage by her father,' waa gbwned in rich white brocaded satin, and her veil of silk net fell from a pearl tiara. She carried gardenias.
