Blackhurst of Pleasant Grove wish to announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth, and Wilbur R. Harding, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Harding of Vineyard. The ceremony was performed in the Salt Lake temple, Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mrs. Harding is a former grad uate of the local high school and Mr. Harding of the Lincoln high. He recently returned from a mission mis-sion in the northern states. Thursday evening, the parents of the bride gave a reception in honor of the young couple at the Second ward hall. The bride was charming in a white satin gown. A long tulle veil caught with a spray of orange Mossoms and accessories to match. Her bridesmaids brides-maids and matrons of honor were dressed in pastel shades. Parents of the bride and groom assisted in receiving 300 guests. After an interesting program, dancing was enjoyed. Open Session Of Council An open session of the Women's Council will be held Monday at 3 p. m. at the Women's club house, with the literary section in charge of arrangements. - Supt. J. C. Moffitt will speak on "Mental Hygiene," and a splen-.did splen-.did program of music has been arranged under the direction of Mrs. Alene Peterson. Reynolds Chapter In Regular Session Alice Louise Reynolds club, Chapter No. '5, met Wednesday evening at the home of the president, presi-dent, Mrs. Nettie Neff Smart. Simmons of Spanish Span-ish Fork, announce the engagement engage-ment of their daughter, Lenora, to Bill Sorenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Sorenson of Sandy. Both young people are former students of the B. Y. U., where Mr. Sorenson graduated in the spring of 1938. He is affiliated with the Upsilon Chi Mu honorary honor-ary music fraternity. The marriage mar-riage will take place January 23 in the Salt Lake L. D. S. temple. Immediately following the ceremony cere-mony the young couple will leave for Grand Junction, Colorado, where Mr. Sorenson is employed as instructor in string music.
