Rambeau Society Editor Phone 494 V Reeve - Soffe Engagement Announced Mrs. Mary Lyman Reeve of Hinckley, Utah, is announcing the betrothal of her daughter, Margaret, Mar-garet, to Kenneth Soffe, well known B. Y. U. athlete, formerly of South Jordan and Midvale. Plans are being made for a summer sum-mer wedding, the nuptials to bs held in the Salt Lake temple, with Pres. Heber J. Grant officiating The young couple will reside here, .Mr. Soffe being employed at Hotel Roberts. The bride-elect is a former B. Y. TJ. student, and is employed as stenographer for'- J'. Rulon, Morgan, attorney. Mr. Soffe fsa junior at the "Y". V.: Bridal Shower Tendered , Niece One of the nicest parties of the -late week, was the shower tendered tender-ed Miss Francelle Christensen, bride-elect, by her aunt, Mrs. Elmo El-mo Eddington of Lehi, Friday evening, eve-ning, in Provo. Miss Neva Strate entertained with beautiful violin numbers; Keith Eddington with cornet selections sel-ections and Miss Lygia Felt with vocal solos. Mrs. Vera J. Millet read a one-act play, and Miss Christensen favored with selections selec-tions on the marimba. There were 70 guests present, and after the program, games were played and prizes awarded. Original songs were sung, and each guest wrote- advise to the bride, the envelopes to be opened at a later date. Delicious refreshments were served. Out-of-town guests include: in-clude: Mrs. R. .L. Anderson of Moroni, Mrs. R. M. Felt of Fair-view, Fair-view, Mrs. N. H. Felt of Gunnison. Mrs. Maxine Hansen of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. William G. Dunk-ley Dunk-ley of Whitney, Ida. Numerous handsome gifts were received. Old Country Style Lunch Enjoyed Mrs. Martha Seiter was hostess o members of the German Speaking Speak-ing Ladies' Circle at her home rh"r?day afternoon. Mrs. Josephina - Komarkova read a variety of German story books which she brought :-from Czechoslovakia, after which the women enjoyed a delicious old-country old-country style lunch. In attendance were: Mrs. Olga Miller, Mrs. Auguste Sauer, Mrs. Johanne Prusse, Mrs. Flore Buggert, Mrs. Berta Hiller, Mrs. Katherina Taylor and Mrs. Josephina Jose-phina Komarkova. Nelke Reading Club Holds Open Meet Meeting at the home of Mrs. J. Robert Robinson on North University avenue, Nelke Reading club members entertained their guests Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Nellie C. Bailey, president, presi-dent, welcomed the women, and introduced Mrs. Emma N. Sown, who gave a fine review of "High Thor," by Maxwell Anderson. Donald McKay sang "Coming Home," "Tally - Ho," and "None But the Lonely Heart," accompanied accom-panied at the piano by Mrs. John Quist. Tasty refreshments were rved in the club colors, yellow and white, a handsome banquet cloth covering the table, whicn was centered with yellow tulips and bridal wreath. Marriage Is Made Known Mrs. James A. Simmons, the former Geraldine Eggertsen, whose marriage of January 29 in Salt Lake City, is anounced today by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Eggertsen of Springville. Mrs. Simmons is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gower Simmons Sim-mons of Spanish Fork. The bride is a graduate of the B. Y. U. and a member mem-ber of the Val Norn social unit. She has been employed as a teacher of dramatic art and music at the Gunnison Gunni-son Valley high school the past year. Mr. Simmons is a senior at the B. -Y.
