The affairs of the- club were then turned over to the new president, Mrs. La Var Christensen. Mrs. Harvey Staheli gave an interesting review of "Fifty Years a Suregan,'' by Dr. R. T. Morria. Delicious refreshments were served, and the rooms were lovely with garden flowers. In attendance at the annual inter-chapter formal dinner-dance of Theta Alpha Phi, national dramatic dra-matic fraternity, held Saturday evening, were officers arid members mem-bers of the Brigham Young university uni-versity chapter. The affair was held at the Ambassador Am-bassador hotel, Salt Lake City, and was attended by members from the Utah Alpha, Beta, and Gamma chapters, representing the University of Utah, Brigham Young university, and Utah State Agricultural college. During the dinner a testimonial was given in honor of Miss Maud May Babcock, who is retiring next month from her position as head of the speech department of the University of Utah. Miss Babcock is a former national president of the dramatic fraternity-Members from B. Y. U. and their partners attending were: Merline Gardner (president), Ladd Cropper, Beth Pratt, (secretary), Fred Price, Ruth Horr, Shirl Wilson, Wil-son, Sam Sorenson, Helen Brock-bank, Brock-bank, Oliver R.
