Social Dancing Club Function Saturday A delightful affair of the week end, was the opening dance of the season o the Social Dancing club, held Saturday evening at the Edgemont ward hall. The music was furnished by Steineekert's orchestra, and the haH was especially arranged for the occasion witn ran coiors anu baskets of chrysanthemums. Thompson Thomp-son of Provo. The marriage is to be an event of November No-vember 23, in the Salt Lake temple, and the following evening a wedding reception will be tendered the young couple in the Springville First ward hall. They will reside in Provo, Mr. Thompson being employed in the office of the Mutual Coal and Lumber company. The bride-elect formerly attended the B. Y. U. and was affiliated with the Ta Lenta social unit. Mr. Thompson, a Provo high school graduate, attended the L. D. S. Business College in Salt Lake City. Provo Couple To Unite In Marriage Mr. and Mrs- J. Earl Johnson announce the engagement of their daughter, Fern, to Vivian C. Hind-marsh, Hind-marsh, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. D. Hindmarsh of this city. The young couple is honeymooning honeymoon-ing at Carmel-by-the Sea. and will reside in San Francisco, where Mr. Davis is employed as a linotype lino-type operator at the Crocker Printing company. The marriage of the prominent promin-ent young couple was solemnized at the Riverside church on Riverside River-side Drive, New York City, Tuesday, Tues-day, at 5 o'clock, by Dr. C. Ivor HiKstrom. The attractive bride wore a Jean Lavin model afternoon gown of silk jersey, and a beautiful corsage of orchids. She was attended at-tended by Mrs. Catherine B. Sleeper of New York City, an intimate friend, as matron of honor, who was attired in al tailored afternoon frock of black, with a corsage of Talisman roses. . Elwood Bach man, brother of the bride, was best man. He arrived in New York Tuesday morning from Salt Lake City, to attend the wedding. Following the ceremony, an elaborate wedding dinner was given in the restaurant De la Paix at the Hotel St. Moritz on Central Park South. Mr. and Mrs. Andrews will make their home in New York, where Mr. Andrews is engaged in architectural work with the World's Fair commission. Well known in Provo, the bride has held prominent positions, and has taken an active part in club and social activities. During the past year, she has been engaged by the Utah Power and Light company as matron at the Home of Ideas, and prior to that time, Acacia Club oession Held In keeping with the spirit of Armistice day. Thursday, November No-vember 11, a "peace conference" theme will be featured at the annual banquet of the B. Y. U. Faculty Women's organization, to be held at the First ward meeting meet-ing house.
