Smith entertained at a gay children's party Wednes day afternoon, honoring the birth day anniversity of her daughter Myrleen. The rooms were decor ated for the occasion with Christmas Christ-mas motifs, games were played and dainty refreshments served the following little folic: Delora Davis, Beth Jones, Carol Stubbs, June Barns, Loraine Adamson, Patrea Gillespie, Fae Stubbs, Max-Ine Max-Ine Pinegar, Alice Ann Hawkins, Inez Jolley, Helen Meldrum, Sylvia Syl-via Franks. Leila Davis. Christine Btelef, Gilbert Olsen, Colleen Adamson, Max Stubbs, Joan Gillespie Gil-lespie and the little honor guest. Dainty gifts were presented to Myrleen during tha afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Baum entertained en-tertained at a charming party at their home Christmas eve. Clever games were enjoyed and gifts exchanged during the evening. eve-ning. Gillespie c-nterta'ned at a family dinner Christmas day at their home, the affair being enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. Ambros Jolley and children, Mr. and Mrs. J. Albert Gillespie and family and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Frampton. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Reeves, and daughter, of lone, Idaho, are spending the holidays at the home of Mrs. Reeves parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Wiscomb. Christ mas day a family dinner was enjoyed en-joyed with all members of the family being present. Miss Ruth Meldrum of Salt Lake is spending her vacation at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Meldrum. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hawkins and family visited in Benjamin with Mr. Hawkins parents on Christmas Christ-mas day. The ward musical committee, Mrs. Ossa Ferguson and Mrs. Olea Schuman are preparing a fine Christmas program to be given at sacrament meeting Sunday evening, eve-ning, commencing at 7 p. m. All members of the ward and friends are invited to attend. Mrs. Racheal Mecham will give the social service lesson at Relief Society Tuesday afternoon. All members are urged to be present. Mr. and Mrs.' Wm. Lowther are spending the holidays in Salt Lake with their children. They will remain until after New Years. LAKE VIEW MRS. SADIE SHAW Reporter Phone 018-R-2 Project to Develop Water For City SPRINGVILLE Work is underway by the city water works department on a project to increase in-crease the culinary water supply, Chairman I. E. Clegpc of the department de-partment announces. The work under the direction of Superintendent Superin-tendent Alma Fullmer, includes drifting a shaft in the foothills southeast of the old "Knold"tun-nel "Knold"tun-nel on the east bench. When the work at the present site i.s completed, a cross cut tunnel tun-nel will be made in Spring Creek canyon where it is thought still more spring water is available. avail-able. The work is expected to continue most of the winter. The project cost approximately $3400. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Johnson and family spent Christmas day at Pleasant Grove with Mrs. John son's mother, Mrs. Ellen Richins where she was entertaining for her entire family. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Madsen spent Wednesday in Salt Lake combining business with pleasure Mr. and Mrs. F. L, Finlayson motored to Salt Lake Wednesday where they visited with their daughter, Vida, who is attending the L. D. S. Business college. Miss Finlayson returned home with her parents to spend the holidays. Miss Evelyn Lloyd returned home from Ogden where she "has been employed. Her parents, Mr and Mrs. Clarence Lloyd motored to Ogden and Miss Lloyd returned with them. The Lake View Bishopric an nounces a special fast day meeting to be held immediately after Sun day school Sunday. Dec. 27. All members of the ward are expected to be present. Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Bunnenn and son Elvin Bunnell spent Christmas day at Ephraim, Utah, the dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Nuttall. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Shaw en tertained at Christmas dinner the following guests, Mr. and Mrs Lamar Scott and family, Mr. and Mrs. Irwin G. Bunnell and two small sons. ACTOR'S WIFE DIES NEW YORK, Dec. 26 U.P Mrs. Maud Durbin Skinner, wife of Otis Skinner, the actor, died, yesterday after a short illness.
