Phone 494 Kiwams Club's i Installation Dinner The Provo Kiwanis club will hold its seventeenth annual installation in-stallation party and ladies' night Wednesday at 7:30 o'clock at the First ward hall. With Dr. Frank T. Reynolds as general chairman on arrangements, arrange-ments, the affair promises to be one of delight from start to finish. J. Robert Robinson and George S. Ballif are assisting Dr. Reynolds with plans. Sterling Ercanbrack is chairman chair-man of the dinner committee, Dr. M. W. Merrill, the favors, and Charles Sessions, decorations. Attractive and lively features are being arranged for the dinner hour, at the conclusion of which dancing will be enjoyed. Scott Benson's orchestra has been engaged en-gaged for the evening. Orson Slack, lieutenant governor gover-nor of the Utah-Idaho district of Kiwanis International, will induct the new officers, Walter S. Hed-quist, Hed-quist, president-elect; Clyde Clark and Allen DJohnson, vice presidents, presi-dents, and BeRoy J. Olsen, secretary, secre-tary, holdover. O. E. S. To Install Officers Valley Chapter No. 3, O. E. S. will meet Tuesday evening at 8 o"clock at the Masonic temple, at which time installition of new of- ficers will be held. Mrs. Effie K. Langston, worthy grand matron, of Salt Lake City, and other grand officers will officiate. of-ficiate. A program and refreshments refresh-ments will follow. L. , Clayton - King Wedding At Home The marriage of Miss Marie Clayton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William P. Clayton, to Lewis King, formerly of Vermont, was a pleasing pleas-ing event of Christmas day and was held at the bride's home. Arthur D. Taylor of the Third ward bishopric, performed the ceremony just at noon, only close family members being present. The bride wore a lovely gown of peacock blue velvet and a dainty corsage of pink sweet peas and roses. She was attended by her niece, Verna May Johnson, who was in canary taffeta. Jack Smith was best man. A wedding dinner followed, places being set for 15 "guests. The table was centered with a large and prettily trimmed wedding wed-ding cake. Accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Clayton and their daughter, Mrs. Doris Johnson, the couple left Saturday Sat-urday morning for southern California, Cali-fornia, where they will spend a week. They will return to Provo to make their home. Christmas Dinner For Family-Mrs. Family-Mrs. Alice Crane and son Edward Ed-ward entertained at a delightful Christmas dinner party at their home. Rockhill was hostess to the Ladies Literary club Friday Fri-day afternoon from 2 till 6:30 the occasion being the annual Christmas party of the club. The rooms were bright with Christmas colors and decorations. Mrs. Annie An-nie R. Beck led in community singing of a number of favorite Christmas songs. The program was under the direction of Mrs. Louise Larsen who presented as entertainers f&r the afternoon the little Misses Lora Jean and Kath-ryn Kath-ryn Brown, who entertained with several vocal selections and dance numbers. Mrs. Millie Scoffield entertained en-tertained with several accordion selections and Miss Janet Nielsen and Bernell Skinner with a piano duet. At 5:30 a tasty tray lunch- ! eon was served by the hostess assisted by her daughter, Mary and Mrs. Tenna Cornaby, to 15 members and five special guests. Mrs. Clara Skinner, Mrs. Millie Schoffield, Mrs. Isabell B. Brown and daughters. Following the luncheon gifts were exchanged by the members. Mrs. Blanche Gardner was hostess host-ess to the Utopia club at lie annual an-nual Chrisimas party of the club Friday night. The receiving rooms were decorated in Christmas Christ-mas evergreens and candles and a gayly decorated Christmas tree added to the attractiveness of the rooms. At 8:30 a tasty luncheon lunch-eon was served at a long table. The remainder of the time was spent in a social way and gifts were exchanged by the 12 members mem-bers present. Members of the Ametie club held their annual Christmas party Friday night at the" home of Mrs. Mildred Larsen. A delicious hot suDoer was served at 8:30, the table and rooms being decorated in holiday effect. Three tables of bridge followed, Mrs. Gladys Boy-ack Boy-ack winning high score and Mrs. Mildred Larsen low score. Christmas Party For Provo Kiddies Stockings of candy, nuts, oranges, and appies went fast as some 400 children took part in the Elk's annual Christmas party early Christmas morning. Following the party in the local hall, the children were guests of Manager Ray Sutton in a party at the Uinta theater. Later in the clay a program for the infirmary inmates was presented by the club, and a dance sponsored in the club house in the evening.
