Y. U. held their pledging ceremonies, followed follow-ed by a smart breakfast, Saturday morning at Keeleys. The following girls were pledged: pledg-ed: Misses Florence Todd, Luana Mercer, Huitau Allred, Phyllis Dixon, Isabelle Dillman and Fern Christensen. Miss Hazel Anderson, Ander-son, president, was in charge. Blue and white sweet peas cen-teredthe cen-teredthe breakfast table, and blue tapers were in silver holders. The place cards were in the form of a white key. Miss Moreho Allred was toast-mistress, toast-mistress, and toasts were given by Miss Phyllis Robinson, Miss Beth Paxman and Miss Florence Todd. Miss Mary Clark rendered a vocal solo, and remarks were made by the president. Miss Anderson. Miss La Vada Westover was arrangement ar-rangement chairman. Y. U., held at the Hotel Roberts Saturday evening. The fraternity colors, black and gold, were featured in the clever decorations. Yellow tulips in a black bowl tapers in black holders were used on the table. Manicure sets enclosed in dark blue leather cases on which the girl's name and the fraternity seal were inscribed, proved attractive favors, and the dance programs were in black suede bindings and bore the fellow's fel-low's name and the fraternity seal. During the dinner, toasts were given as follows: "To the Past The National Fraternity," Franklin Frank-lin S Harris, Jr.: "To the Present Pres-ent What the Fraternity Means While Attending School," Eli Clayson: "To the Future As It Will Effect Me In The Future as An Alumni Member," Meredith Wilson. A vocal trio, the Harmon-ettes. Harmon-ettes. with Miss Wanda Johnson in charge, rendered two selections and Miss Thelma McKinnon sang. The toastmastcr. John Dalton, was introduced by Cecil Dimick. Howard Kearns' orchestra furnished furn-ished the music for dancing. Thirty-six couples attended. The arrangement committee comprised: Harold Smith, John Dalton. The guesis were seated at one long table, which was centered with a lovely bowl of orchid and yellow sweet peas. Yellow tapers wore in yellow holders, and the favors were dainty corsages of orchid and yellow sweet peas, tied with orchid ribbon. Seven tables of bridge followed the ta.sty repast. The high score prize went to Mrs. Clarence Greer, Mrs. George Mecham won the second favor, and Mrs. Ralph Bullock Bul-lock the consolation award.
