A delicious luncheon Was served at the close of the party. Mrs. Hattie Blackett was in Salt Lake Wednesday and Thursday Thurs-day to visit -her son Leon who is seriously .Ul at the L, D. S. hospital. hos-pital. Members of the Social Twelve club will hold their annual Christmas Christ-mas c;paTty Thursday evening at the home of Mrs.Ed Johnson. The annual TibTiday party for the hus-barids hus-barids is plahneci f or December 29, at Keeleys, Provo. One of the .largest and most successful socials of ,its kind the past; week , was the D. U. P. entertainment Thursday after noon, given in honor- of the pioneers pio-neers of this city and all daugh ters of pioneers. Over 150 camp members and guests attended. Christmas observance talks were given by Mrs. Nelson Beal, Mrs. Julia Packard and Mrs. Phoebe Singleton. Al Christmas pageant, portraying Christmas celebrations of other e nationalities, was also enjoyed, as was an old time dance .given byD.' ,U. P.. members in cos- utme, with Joseph- Shepherd, pio- iieer fiddler and his son furnishing furnish-ing music, and John Robison call ing. In conclusion Santa Claus distributed pioneer gifts to all "guests and refreshments, carrying out the old fashioned Christmas were served to all. : Students of the prade and high schools will begin their holiday "vaeatfOh "With "the close of school Friday,.
